Can anyone give me any feedback on this resort? My family is going October18 2008 to the 25. How are the crowds this time of year?

Thanks Happy Holidays:santa: :santa: :santa:

I've moved this over to the Orlando Area Hotels & Attractions board. You'll get the best advice there!

And :welcome: to the DIS!

Thanks!

that is doing the food/wine festavial - so Epcot will be more crowded than usually.

Mickey's not so scarey halloween party - will also be happening at the MK - get tickets for it next year when it goes on sale.

stayed at VV @ parkway - it is nice.

things I don't like

1) for a 2-bedroom - it is divided up - a one bedroom on one side and a studio on the other side. I like my privacy - so I kept the main door closed.
but if your neighbor (the one in a 1 bedroom or studio - depending upon what you have) decides to kept that door open - you have little choice.

now if you are using it for a 2-bedroom - then you have a problem with your kids being in another room than you.

2) if you get kids who scream alot in the one next to you.

3) No security guard - they have the dinner show - 'Arabian nights' in the middle of their property. No security guard means anyone can be there.

4) no gate.

5) speed breakers in very bad places. they have crosswalks are the speed breakers near the crosswalks - NO. they are in different places across property even worst in some places you are not warned. and some of these are really bad breakers. SO BE VERY CAREFULLY until you learn where they are. these are only wide spread in the newer building.

the older ones in building 1-4 (maybe 5 & 6, too) - are fine. there speed breakers make sense.

6) no RESTUARANT

7) the gym is located with the front desk check in place - which is not near the villas. So you have a walk. this also makes it just impossible to use the equipment during show time (night time) - because the people going to and from the 'dinner show' are driving trying to get there. very dangerous (my opinion). I like to exercise after during the parks.

8) no general store/gift shop. they do have a shuttle take you to publix. but if you only want a bottle of milk or ice cream - it is a problem. Even getting a postcard.

9) the one walking path that they have takes you to their other place. this is boring.

things I like
1) the villas are beautiful and well taken care of - housekeeping does a good job here

2) it is a good location. Not to far from a Publix, Walgreen, old towne, and WDW.pretty ease to get back and forth from WDW - just look for the gaylord's.

3) the people here are nice and try their best.
