Vacation Planning Kit for Canadians

Hello,

I am interested in getting the vacation planning kit from Disney that is new. On the other more "American" boards, they said that they had received them and they included a DVD and a CD-ROM along with the usual written materials. So, I went to disney.com to order mine. I noticed that the new kit was white with Mickey on the front. Very excitedly, I clicked on the link that said "If You're A Canadian citizen . . ." This took me to a page to fill in my address, etc. that appeared to be simply an application to receive last year's kit. It had a photo of it up the top that was the old purple one, which I already have. Am I missing something here? Is there a phone number I can call to get the new kit? Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I ordered one awhile ago and it was taking so long that I figured they were waiting for the new ones to come out. Made sense. Finally came in the mail a week ago and its the old package!! I was rather surprised to say the least since the package is pretty useless now, sheeeeeesh

sorry, can't really help but you may be right about getting the old package if you order.

Yeah...the same thing happened to me at the beginning of December. I just thought I had jumped the gun and ordered to early. Going back today, I realized that this was still the case.

I received the old package too. The kids were still excited, but would be nice to see the new one.

We also got the old one. I passed it to a few friends who will be taking their first trip to the World but would like to se the new one too!

So, does anyone have any suggestions on how we, Canadians, can get our hands a new planning kit? It's driving me nuts knowing that it's out there and I can't have it.

My sister who is a travel agency owner is going to a Disney breakfast meeting in early Feb where they are going to be explaining all about the new ticket options.I asked her to ask the Canadian rep when the the new DVD's would be available(I also asked her to her to see if she could get me acopy of one)If she gets any info I will pass it along.

I have I think about 6 years worth of videos and DVDs.Its fun to watch them to see how Disney has changed.

Oh NO!!!! I've been waiting for mine in the mail and I really hope that it doesn't end up being last years (which I already have)......

I'm sure that you can call the WDW-DISNEY number and request a new one??

I just went on the Disney site and for the US stuff (the new white kit) it says "To PRE order your 2005 kit" - so maybe they haven't even finished it yet?

I just recieved mine and it also is the old one. As you see I leave very soon and my in-laws stay in Florida for the winter and I'm ordering one and having it sent there with a US address and hoping she'll get the new one for us.

The new ones are out. Several Americans have been talking about it on some other boards.

Received my "kit" yesterday-It was a VCR tape but all the promo material included was for 2005 MYW tickets etc. Haven't watched the tape yet though.

Did you call to get it or order through the website? I tried ordering through the 1-800 number and the machine cut me off before I finished the address details. Sometimes I hate those things.

Hi. I just called and ordered my kit on the phone and they told me that it will be the new 2005 kit. They have been out since January 2nd so if you ordered after that date you will receive the new one. So it should be here in 7 to 10 days! Woohoo!

Has anyone in Canada received the 2005 Planning DVD yet? I don't think we need another one of the 2003/2004 Magical Gatherings ones (since we now have - oh - half a dozen) but I'd order the new one ASAP if I thought that I'd get it instead.

I read somewhere on this board that the Canadians won't be able to get them until March so I would wait a little bit longer and try again. Keep trying I know I have to many magical gathering to. But the good news is I got the new crusing DVD so I am sure we will get the new WDW one soon.
