Okay, so we had booked the Poly and we are SO excited, but now some expenses are coming up and we are looking to maybe book a cheaper deluxe. I ordered the DVD, but how long does it take to get it, and about how long after you order it do you get a code? Thanks!

The code with the DVD is not a guarantee....lots of people ordered the DVD and did not get a code.Maybe you will be lucky.:wizard: ..The dvd takes 4-6 wks. Most people received their code within a few days (by email) or about 2-3 wks snail mail...Good Luck:goodvibes

Hey there--I cheated, but I'm a pirate so it's o.k.

I ordered the DVD with a diffrent last name, and e-mail and filled out the questions as if I were a "new guest". I got the DVD within 10 days and a e-mailed PIN code 2 days later.

Now, I also ordered the DVD with my real last name and the e-mail that Disney has on file. It took 5 weeks to get the DVD and I never got a PIN code!

Call me crazy, but shouldn't it have been the other way around? Like reward your BEST guests or something?

I agree but disney does not..When I called to cancel my pkg thru Disney ( I got a better deal with AAA) The cm told me that Disney doesn't need to give people like me a code , codes are to entice infrequent visitors.not regular visitors.I realize that this is Buisness 101, but what better way to ensure happy customers and loyalty then offering up a discount once in awhile to reward freq. guests.:goodvibes

Hmmm... I tried your trick, but even after deleting temp internet files/cookies, the disney site kept recognizing me.... Finally, I used my work PC to do it and my work address... wonder if that will work. I'll let y'all know if it does. I'd think if you used a different last name, if it's not really you, they wouldn't let you use your code to register - or did you use it? More info please!!

If Disney is leaving us regulars out of the loop on the discounts, I think that is just crappy. I mean, we're the ones who would get a postcard and say, wow, I wasn't planning to go then, but I think we'll add a trip for those dates. So, I don't mind a little cheating to get the discount. It's not like they haven't made back their money 10 times over on me....

We got our DVD within a week of ordering it last November, but no pin code. We ordered another one a week later (to put one in each child's xmas stocking) with slightly different ordering info too, and rec'd the DVD within a week, but no pin code. After running the numbers several different ways, we eventually booked for this April via AAA and are very happy with the money we saved and the package we booked.

I've ordered the DVD twice over the last 3 years and I've never gotten a code. I know people who have never ordered the DVD and got a code. The only thing they did was register at the Disney website and then didn't book a trip.

I find it very funny you should say that. When I called yesterday to ask about availability they had me in the system as being there 6 times. The thing I find odd is that I have NEVER paid for my tickets as I was a child 5 of the times and last year my mom paid for the tickets for me and DS and we paid her back. How the holy Hannah do they know I've been there 6 times? That kind of creeped me out lol.

I'm confused! Did they allow you to use the code even though it was under a different last name? Since the codes are nontransferable I figured that disney would have a problem if the info didn't match. :confused3

Hi there-- Captain Jack would be so proud!

I used my maiden name, my current address and an e-mail Disney didn't have on file. I did call, but didn't use the discount because they didn't have Poly LVC available for the week we wanted. Would I have used it if it were available? That is the more pressing question I think. Cheat? Perhaps I would have... this time. I have been to Disney many, many times and paid rack rates many of those times and I was o.k. with that. But this time, I was after a deal--maybe it was the pirate in me! I did get a discount for the trip--AAA!
Oh the shame of it! I don't know how I sleep at night!

Go luck with your plan! :thumbsup2

I used my maiden name. I didn't use the code. However, the CM DID transfer it to my married name or at least she said she did. I used a AAA discount instead. I haven't called back to see if the code WAS truely applied to my married name or not. Disney, I think, would have a problem if the address had not matched or maybe it just depends on the CM. The one I spoke with was great and helpful and seemed to really want to make it work for me.
