Vacation Express Schedule

Does anyone know if the Vacation Express departures times from Wilkes-Barre Scranton have changed? My flight is scheduled for departure on May 14th at 6:45am but it looks like all of the departures to Sanford have been leaving at 8am.

Hi neighbor! I just plugged in your dates on the vacation express web site and it still came up with the 6:45am departure. If you want to make sure try calling them- 800-309-4717

Departure is supposed to be 6:45, but they were delayed the first couple of days. I heard the first day the flight was delayed 4 hours for mechanical problems. Hopefully they get the kinks worked out since this is new.

I am leaving April30th, will be back May 9th. I will post how the flights went.

Make sure you call the airline and verify asap. Repeat verification 24hrs before. We booked before vacation express made offers from WB (that would've been SO much more convenient) so we are flying out of Philly 6:45 AM on May 14th. Our flights either coming or going have changed 3 times. All to our benefit which actually makes me happy -we end up having an extra 18 hours at Disney!!!
I think initially they begin with X number of flights, see how they book by a certain date then they omit or try and combine flights to fill up a plane. As the dates get closer you can usually trust the flight times.

So....... How far in advance do you make the reservations thru Vacation Express? We are planning on going in Dec. The times listed are showing 6:45 as well.


Also just wondering, Has anyone gotten the travelers/airfare insurance. (I forget the real name of this) It's offered on the website when you make the reservations.


I also read somewhere here on the boards about oil prices going up. So then airfare prices would also go up....That's one reason I was going to book fairly soon.

I have read numerous recommendations that you should NOT buy travel insurance via the person providing your trip.

I just checked my flight out on 7/29. It originally had 6:45am but now has 8:00am. The return times are the same.
Oh well, I guess I get to travel 81 during the same time I would be commuting to work.....

For vacation Express, book as early as you can! I would book now. The early you book the better chance you have at getting a lower rate. The rates will go up as more people book on the flight.

Hi Zook Keeper, what airline are you flying with? I checked my Vacation Express schedule at we still leave at 6:45AM Apr 30th.

But the return flight on May 9th was changed from 7:45PM to 5:45PM. Bummer two less hours.....

Hi!
I'm using Vacation Express out of Avoca in May, too. Our flight times used to be: Depart AVP 6:45AM Arrive SFB 9:15am; Depart SFB 7:45pm Arrive AVP 10:15pm.

It has since changed to: Depart AVP 8:00AM Arrive SFB 10:30am; Depart SFB 5:45pm Arrive AVP 8:15pm

You can check your flight times and entire reservation online. Have you tried this?

I'm flying with Vacation Express out of AVP and the flights were now changed to the same as Melody's Just a little bummed we won't have as much time in Florida.

Me too. I don't mind the flight down as much as I mind leaving earlier for the flight home. Bummer.

I actually received a call the other day from a Vacation Express agent that my return flight time was changed by 2 hours. That was unexpected.

Our return flight is on May 9th, it was original scheduled for 7:45PM but was moved up to 5:45 PM

Yes...that seems to be pretty consistent with what they've changed all return flights to.

I wouldn't mind them changing our return flight. The kids will have school the next day and we'll have work. I'd prefer to be home by 9:00 than by 11:00 with the kids still needing showers.

I'm thinking of booking a trip in August but we just flew Delta from AVP to Cincinnatti to San Francisco and the planes were so old and uncomfortable.

What kind of planes does Vacation Express have?

Has anyone flown them yet?
