Vacation...do you visit the same place every year or go somewhere new?

Yes.

We do WDW when we run out of ideas or miss the place but then we go to Belize or Hawaii. We're doing Hawaii this year and Caribbean next year, and then London/UK after that.

For smaller, weekend trips we go to the same places like Lake Geneva, South Haven Michigan or the Dells, but for bigger trips we mix it up. Last year, we went to Jamaica and Disney, and this year we went to Napa and will go to Greece and Turkey.

Must be a Chicagoland native. No one else would write those places like that unless they were from Chicago! LOL (and we wouldn't have any idea what you were talking about unless we were too!)

There are way too many awesome places in this world for us to go to the same place over and over. Since we both have new jobs there won't be a vacation this year though. :(

So funny--(and true)!

Some of both. Disney and up north are repeats that we do every year or pretty close to it. But we also like to throw some new places in there too, because there are too many interesting places to see to stick with the familiar every trip. But budget and time determine a lot of that, and sometimes we hit old favorites simply because they're easy, cheap, and within driving distance.

I've spent a week or close to it in August in Ocean City, NJ about 40 of my 50+ years. And we're going again this year.

Been to Orlando where WDW was the focus of the vacation five times, and we're thinking of going again in October.

Nobody bats an eye at us returning to Ocean City over and over and over again. But there have been occasional snide remarks or raised eyebrows about returning to WDW.

While OC in August is almost inviolable, other vacations are a mix of repeats and new places.

For the past few years we've been revisiting some of the same places:

2009, 2010 + 2011 we did road trips to Oregon and/or California
2012 and 2014 it was trips to Mexico
2013 and this year it's Disneyland (although this year we are mixing it up and starting with a Disney cruise lol)
2016 will be something new - Disney cruise to Alaska or a 10 day stay on Maui.

We went to Hawaii 3 yrs. in a row, VAIL Co several times at Xmas time, Cape May every summer not to mention WDW at least 6 times and Ca 4 times. When we like someplace we want to go back

Northern Michigan/SW Florida every year to visit my parents. Disney Cruise every other year or so. I like knowing what I'm getting. I'd love to take the kids to Alaska and Europe someday, but it's probably not the best use of my limited financial resources.

A bit of both. We've done WDW many times and both DLR and DLP multiple times. But we prefer to mix things up. Sometimes a cruise. Or an island vacation. Or a driving trip in Europe. Or one of our bucket list trips. This past winter we had a week in Cuba and later a driving trip down to WDW. I'm flying out to CA next month to meet up with DD for a short girls vacation at DLR. Next winter is a trip to New Zealand. DH wants to tack on a few days in Tahiti on the way home.

At our age we'd rather take fewer special trips to interesting places than a lot of same ol' same ol'.

We haven't been back to Disney or Las Vegas which we visited yearly for almost a decade. But we still do our 3-4 day trip up to Mackinaw City, MI yearly. :)

we go to myrtle beach, and Disney world every year. we also go to our cabin in lake placid ny during Christmas vacation. I would love to check out other places but we stick with places we can drive to with young kids, when the kids are older I would loves to go out west and do the national parks

We always have these grand ideas of doing something different but usually end up doing the same.
We either just visit family and do the Tampa attractions or we drop the kids off with the grandparents and head to Universal Resort for a few days(they're still too small to really enjoy most things there).
Camping is pretty frequent as well since we bought a popup. We do try new campgrounds every once and a while, but we prefer a certain one in Lake George and none of them ever live up to that one.
do you go to the state campground in lake George or the new full hook up place in the village, we love hearthstone point campground since it has it's own beach, but we can no longer fit our 5th wheel in those sites since they are on the small side

Adirondack Camping Village
It's only like 1/4 mile from the village. (The website says 2 miles but I really don't think it is)

both....we always go to WDW or DLR and then also go other places.

We're a mix. For a while we actually had a pretty solid pattern going of Disney, somewhere new, Disney, somewhere new... but it's a little more fluid now.

We always take Disney vacations, but the locations change. We've been to WDW, DL, and Disney cruises. We've also traveled with Adventures by Disney several times. It's a great way to see new places, but still get a Disney quality trip.

We kind of do both. I like exploring new places but also like the comfort of same areas. So sometimes we go back to the same places other times we go someplace new.

I'm going to Myrtle Beach, SC for 3 nights this summer which will be totally new to me and going to MN to visit family where we grew up and we are staying in my favorite area hotel that we always stay in when we go there.

As far as Disney goes my family says they are done - they aren't interested in returning again. I will still go alone on short trips though and I like to stay at different resorts even though POR is my favorite.
