Hi,

I received the 5/2 + gift card promotion and had booked a trip last week at the POR for Nov. We just found out that we can only go for 6 nights, so we can't take full advantage of this deal. Initially, I thought of just keeping the reservation and checking out a day earlier since we would still be getting a free night plus the gift card. However, we want to add the dining plan and this would mean that we would also be paying for an extra night of dining that we would not be using and making this deal even worse for us. So, the question is should I keep the reservation until a better deal comes out for Nov, historically in Aug, or do I cancel and wait for the deals in August to rebook. Is there an advantage to keeping this reservation active to hold the room, or do they have to to cancel and rebook anyway when the Nov. codes come out?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd keep it. You can always change it later if a better deal comes along.

I don't know if they'd have to cancel and rebook. They didn't when I changed my WL from AAA discount room only to the 4/3 deal.

I'd keep it to. If something that works better for you comes along, change at that time.
Also, even if you do add the dining...this would give you the opportunity to try out a couple of the 2-credit restaurants. I see it working like this....you have 7 night, you are only staying six nights. Do 5 TS restaurants (2 of them 2-credit) and then use your 7 CS credits for the remaining dinners/lunches. That way you still get 12 meals on your 6 nights. It also gives you a chance to have extra snacks (drink and popcorn at the same time?).
