Vacation As You Wish Webcast

So are these better incentives than the ones that just expired? We got $19 off per point at SSR. :confused3

How many points did you buy?

If you bought 160 points or 200 points, then you got a better deal:

160-point Level: $16/point discount = $2,650 off purchase price

200-point Level: $18/point discount = $3,600 off purchase price

If you bought 270 points or more, the webcast deal is better:

270-point Level: $20/point discount = $5,400 off purchase price

320-point Level: $21/point discount = $6,720 off purchase price

500-point Level: $23/point discount = $11,500 off purchase price

And if you bought between 200 and 270 points, I have no idea! :rotfl:

We enjoyed the webcast and DW is now seriously leaning my way (towards purchasing). We even got to talk to the same rep we talked with 3 years ago. Spent about 15 minutes talking with Ron.

Did you get down to Chicago last weekend to see the models at DtD?

These incentives are much better than those at the DVC show we attended in Anaheim a few months ago (-$5/point @ 160, -$7/point @ 200 and 250, -$9/point at 320, etc.), but that was before the current round of incentives that is expiring June 15. Who knows how low it'll go by the time they reach Boston! :lmao:

But the incentives from the event in Anaheim didn't just include dollars off, they also had other incentives like annual passes, RCI trips, ABD trips, so if you add up everything you received it added up to more than just the dollars off.

Arggggh! I'm not even officially a member yet, and I already have addonitis. We were originally going to buy 250 points at BLT for $24,000, however after the webcast I'm now thinking of uping the amount to 270 points. Under the new incentive, the 250 points will cost me $23,500. 270 points would cost me $24,840. So for $1,340 I can get an extra 20 points. That's only $67 per point for those 20 points.

After DW and I talked about DVC, she sounded not interested so I didn't push it. I ended up not pushing her on the issue and just tried to gather more information here on the boards.
During the web cast, I was laid back and just let DVC do the talking. At one point in the show, it was like a light bulb went on for DW. As they talked more, she became the one pursuing it more. She had a bunch of questions for our guide after the show.

While they were talking, I brought up the chart of DVC pricing through the years (thanks to someone here on the boards).

Afterwards, we took the dog for a walk and I mentioned that people have been begging for a monorail DVC resort for years and that's why it's been the fastest selling DVC property ever.

Barring any change of plans, we're talking about coming down on Sunday to see the models.

In the mean time, I'll be giving her plenty of massages and giving her space to think. :cool1:
No pressure or she'll definitely change her mind.

Does anyone know if you can get this pricing if you just bought? I just bought on Saturday and this pricing was never mentioned (of course) I would have waited 4 extra days, seeing as how I bought VGC and cant use it yet.

Sounds like you've got a good game plan : )

:thumbsup2 Another incentive is you may be able to use points for your next trip instead of paying at AKL. That's what we did in 2005.

Either Disney is really hurting for money or BLT isn't selling like we are lead to believe. They have discounted it more than any other property, they are still selling February UY's, and they are pushing it and not AKV. Something doesn't seem right.

Have fun on your tour and good luck. :goodvibes

You probably already got the best deal you could have gotten (at least so far)... the webcast incentives were only for Bay Lake Tower.

Thought I saw on another thread that someone's guide said BLT is gonna be sold out in a month or two :confused3

Maybe BLT is selling better than expectations, maybe not. But can someone please explain to me why if it's selling so good the price keeps dropping ?

"We're making such a killing and selling so many points at $106 that we're going to start selling at $96........er $91........."

Agree with Bill, something doesn't quite pass the smell test here.

Just talked to my guide, I can get in on this deal if I attend the webcast, but that is only because my contract hasn't closed yet.

When we attended our local presentation at Strong Museum they offered discounts AND free trips. From scrolling through the thread I see the discounts and points to use in 09 but no free trip?? My webinar is Saturday was there no mention of a free trip? I already told our guide that no one ever called us from our local presentation to sign up then, so I am hoping she will work it in if it is not included in the webinar. Thoughts?

There were no free trips offered during the webcast.

For me, the larger discount on points of the webcast was more valuable than the smaller discount + trips offered at the Anaheim presentation, but that's cuz the only trips they were offering in our point-range were 3-night stays at Disneyland and in San Diego and San Francisco, where we've been a lot.

I'm curious to know what kind of trips they've been offering during the DVC presentations in other cities...

Hi I saw someones note on this last page that the webcast for for BLT only. Since we dont get to see it until Sunday did anyone see anything special for Grand California? We are holding our contract until the 16th hoping that we can maybe save a few more dollars before we send in.

Thank you!
