Vacation 2010!!!

We are huge fans.....been there so mayn times I know where every bathroom is, store, crack etc....lol

Ok so here's this years vacation for me and my family. We normally go in June because that is the best time for us to go. We originally were going to stay at the Paradie Pier again like last year but I decided to do the Disney theme home. Well after a few email excahnges and phonecalls we thought the home was ours for that time frame of June 19-26. Well as I was talking to the owner, her assisant booked the house for those days. She was so bummed that we got bumped. Well we decided to book a holiday trip there with the home so we will be there Nov 23-27! We have never been during a holiday period so we are just excited.

What about the summer? We are still going! We are staying at a good neighborhood hotel that is a mere 2085 feet from the main entrance, cant think of the name off hand. We will still be there from June 19-26! We are so excited! My kids will get to see Captain EO and the much anticipated World of Color and the new Fantasmic dragon. Last year when we went he was not working right so we didnt get to see him! We are excited!!! 2010 will be a great year!

Sounds fun! Two trips are even better! We didn't get to see the new Fan. dragon either last summer. I haven't heard if they said how long EO will be playing. At first they made it sound like it would only be a few months. If they were smart, they would have it go through the summer. We plan to go the first week in Aug.

I went in June and December of last year and it was so wonderful! Do you have (or will you have) APs? I know before I started looking at online communities, it never occurred to me just how much money you can sometimes save taking that route. For your dates I think you'd have to get Premium APs, but if you happen to go again before June 19th, you should still be saving money.

Unless, of course, having an AP makes you go to the parks more often than you would have otherwise (guilty of that over here), in which case they kind of cost you more money.

No one knows for sure how long Captain EO will be playing, but it appears that Disney's investing some significant time (and presumably some financial resources) in the show, so I don't imagine it will go away too quickly. I'd be VERY surprised if it's not running at least through summer, and wouldn't be at all surprised if it ran for a year or even longer. It doesn't seem to me that Disney will bring back Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, which means EO would probably remain until they have something new planned for the theater...but I guess we'll see.
