Using the Vroom for the first time next trip - sweet peas post has just reminded me to ask for a dining report on the lounge - will all eaters be catered for even Miss Picky DD? What is on offer and is it plentiful or will we need to top up.

We will be there the first Saturday of the half-term holidays in October will it be packed?

TIA

There was a good selection of continental/english breakfasts when we were there in June. My dh and dc seemed to enjoy it, but I'm a bit of a nervous flyer so didn't feel like eating.

Hi
there small plates and things like bacon/ sausage sandwiches/ rolls, there is also eggs and i think theres 5 item set menu, plus cold stuff youghurts, muffins fruit cereal juice etc, its not a full on breakfast more of a small selection.

My dad and hubby just had 2 lots of 5 items,(you can go back as often as you like ) the lounge was nice and quiet and kids enjoyed the computer room and soft play was nice for Isabelle , we usually stay at the sofitel and go to macdonalds for brekkie on the way over, then wander round the shops im glad we booked thislast time as Baby wa sso little and we were a big group but not sure if id do it again.

I would definitely pay for it again! When we used it in May 09 there were loads if different food options - hot, continental, and more importantly cakes! It wad great value and we came out stuffed!

Thanks for all the feedback - we have paid for it this year as it worked out about the same price as four breakfast snacks at one of the gatwick restaurants and as we usually get up at about 2am on that morning we are ravenous by 7am.

We got it complimentary with next year's package so fingers crossed we like it.

Afraid we all have very healthy pre-flight appetites. (Think it may have something to do with the garbage we will be fed for the next ten hours).

thanks again.

We tried to book the Vroom today but apparently you need to have booked a virgin holiday not just a virgin atlantic flight. Gutted!! Does anyone know of any exceptions or ways around this?
