Decided to try the Poly standard studios this time for a change. As much as we love BLT, the Poly is on my bucket list!
It meant only being able to stay four nights as opposed to five at BLT..because of the higher points at Poly.
I hope I didn't make a mistake, hoping we love the Poly!
My DH, DD13 and I will be staying this trip on April break.
Any things we shouldn't miss there?

It's never a mistake to try other resorts, you have about 50 years of trips, and it's worthwhile trying them all!

The extra shower and vanity will probably be a big + with DD

Have a Dole Whip, try the restaurants. Walk along the beach and look at MK.
Walk to TTC to catch the monorail to EPCOT.
Take a boat to MK (as long as you are not in a rush)

And most importantly, soak in the relaxed, tropical, exotic vibe as you walk around the property!

(And have you considered buying 1-time use points to add the 5th day?)

Trader sam's tiki terrace-good drinks and they had live music out there at night. Plus they pipe in the wishes music during the fireworks.
Honestly we loved the Poly and are looking forward to going back next year.

Thank so sounds great! I'm sure the extra vanity will come in handy especially with DD :)
I bought the one time use points-we are going on Spring Break when the points are higher than usual too!
I think I need more points! We used them the year before on a land sea trip so I'm in borrow mode now LOL!

Sounds wonderful!

At sunset they were doing a torch lighting ceremony and even had some flame dancers. This was all done on the lawn between the Ceremonial House and the pool.

And they have free hula lessons. I seen many families join in on that one.
