Using WDW tix at Disneyland (yippee!)

Sooo excited! Thought someone else could use this idea! I'm a L.A., Calif. resident 3 weeks away from my first visit to WDW. Will be there 8 full days plus 2 travel days. The price difference was so small between the 8 day and 10 day pass, I decided to buy the 10 day pass in case I wanted to visit a park the morning of my departure. Thanks to a question on the DIS boards, I've just confirmed with Disneyland Resort's guest services that I'll be able to use the remaining 2 days at Disneyland & California Adventure! Happy Dance! I'll be back in L.A. & have 3 days left on the 14 day expiry so that'll work out perfectly!

What better way to get over "back from WDW" depression than 2 days (free!) at Disneyland Resort! What fun.

Hope this helps someone. I've learned so much from all of you!

I hate to say this, but I would call again. If this were true, as an AP holder I should be able to use it to access DL and I cannot.

I would DEFINITELY call again.I think you were given some bad information. You may have spoken with a new Cast Member, etc.I would call back and ask to speak with a Guest Services manager.I am almost positive the two resorts are treated as separate entities in relation to tickets.

reader,
I believe that you are able trade in the old style of WDW tickets (the passports) for DL tickets, but not the new Magic Your Way tickets.
We're headed out to DL in less than 2 weeks and I've been keeping up with the DL threads and I remember reading about this several times.
Take a look at this thread ...

There seems to be a lot of confusion!
I, too, think you received incorrect information.
You might want to ask about it on the DL Forum, as the Mods and others will know better about what is currently being accepted in "trade."
But, I would call DL again to make sure, since tickets at the gate are more expensive than ordering them ahead of time, you could lose out on that discount if you are unable to use the Magic Your Way tickets (or any CA resident discount tickets you might be able to get ahead of time).
Sorry if I've made this more complicated!
Rose :)

I thought you can use WDW tickets at DL but not the other way around. No you can't use your WDW AP at DL.

Thanks for the input. I will post on the Disney board. I based my info on an e-mail enquiry to Disneyland Resort Guest Communications (3/8/06) and a separate phone call. The e-mail reply: "WDW single and multi-day tickets should be accepted at Disneyland Resort." (I assume the "should be" is legal talk for the details like within the 14 day expiry window; being used by original user, etc.). I will call one more time.

It's not a big deal. My WDW pass is already purchased. I only live 30 minutes from Disneyland, so if it doesn't work out, I'll just visit Downtown Disney and call it a day. Just seemed like a fun way to get the extra mileage out of my purcased WDW pass.
