when the railroad is running, I know it travels around the Magic Kingdom and has multiple stations...is riding the railroad an efficient way to get from land to land quickly (say you're at the back of the park and want to get back to the front to grab something from your locker) or is more a leisurely slow paced kind of scenic tour? I know I've ridden it before but only have very vague memories

I would say that it's not less time-consuming than hoofing it. But it sure is a nice leisurely ride and sometimes just getting to sit down to rest while avoiding scooter and stroller kamikaze is worth the extra time it takes.

haha even if it takes roughly the same amount of time to walk the same distance, I'm gonna choose the option that let's me sit down every time 😂

agree. I doubt that it is any faster, especially if you have to wait for the train. However, it is a peaceful way to get around the park. Best when going to the opposite side of the park.

No, the train is a leisure transport option for sure. If you get on first, they'll wait 5-10 min more to fill up and even when it does get moving, it's not going that fast.

no...I just miss it eating some crowds...but it does not save time.

WDWRR is a blast!

We look at it not just as transportation but as a must-do ATTRACTION!

Really cool seeing the Park from the angles provided by WDWRR.

Love going through Splash Mountain, waving to Guests riding BTMRR,seeing the Indians, etc.

And can't wait to go through the Tron Tunnel and hear what they come up with for the Spiel as the Train "encounters" Tron.:)

Our experience has been that it takes about 20-25 minutes for a full circle, or roughly 7 minutes from the time you leave one station until the time you leave the next, with sometimes a bit longer stop at Storybook Circus if they need to take on water. Order of stops is Main Street, Frontierland, Circus, Main Street.
