My husband and I have accumulated quite a lot of points but haven't used them. I have searched SW site and cant find any info. Can anyone tell me if I can use my points to book tickets for my parents? I want to buy a one way ticket for myself, DH and both of my parents. Can I buy them all at once with my points or do I need to do it one at a time? Anything else I need to know about using points.

Thank you.

Yes, book them all in the same transaction. Juts make sure you are logged into your account, and that you search for fares in points, rather than dollars. and you will be all set!

Yes, but I believe each passenger will have their own reservation number. Makes check in a little more trouble but well worth it. You could always add EBCI.

However, a great benefit of booking with points is that if your parents' plans change, you can cancel the reservation and get all your points back into your account with no restrictions.

Plus if you find a cheaper fare you can change to the cheaper flights and the extra points goes back into your account.

We just had this situation with a friend of mine. She had points she wanted to gift me and another friend for our trip to Vegas in March. For her to book my flight from BWI to LAS it would have cost her the points PLUS $250. My flight was only going to be $94!! I told her not to worry about it and I would pick up my flights.

I have booked points from my account for my DH and children. No need to 'gift' them points, just book the flights and put their names on the tickets.

I would check booking them together and separate. Sometimes it is cheaper for 1 person than 3. If there are only 2 seats left for a cheaper price (points) and you put in 3 people, it will charge the higher for all 3.
