who is saying that shouldn’t be the case?I couldn't disagree with you more....so I'm stepping out. As I stated before so many people feel entitled. If you want a nice pool pay for it!!!
I think that is wise. I tapped out responding, too. They are trolling on two threads.I couldn't disagree with you more....so I'm stepping out. As I stated before so many people feel entitled. If you want a nice pool pay for it!!!
Everyone is just blaming random families staying at value resorts, sorry that I don’t agree with that unsubstantiated claim that massive amounts of families from value resorts are the reason grand Floridians pool is packed.I think that is wise. There have been first-hand d accounts of this happening in this thread. And I’m sure this is just the smallest subset that we’ve heard. And it may not always be families from a “value resort” doing this. It could be any guest at the MK, onsite or otherwise, who are taking advantage of a close pool to go have a dip in during the hottest part of the day. Boggles my mind why some are against having g wrist bands for all resort pools and are minimizing how much this occursEveryone is just blaming random families staying at value resorts, sorry that I don’t agree with that unsubstantiated claim that massive amounts of families from value resorts are the reason grand Floridians pool is packed.
Grand Floridian is not exactly a close by pool for any of the value resorts. It requires a decent amount of transportation and a transfer. There have been first-hand d accounts of this happening in this thread. And I’m sure this is just the smallest subset that we’ve heard. Disney is not a huge fan of the wrist bands which is why they don’t offer it for all the pools.
Wait time for bus 15 minutes, then bus ride maybe 15-20 minutes. Then have to go through security and depending on what bringing could trigger extra search and more time. Then you have to still walk to the grand Floridian or somehow get there still another 15-20 minutes.Or a bus to MK and a 15 min walk. Most of the deluxes are easy to get to from a park, that’s one of their selling features…but it also makes them targets for pool crashers.
You’re very defensive about the value guests not being pool crashers. Any specific reason why?
The simple fact is the info is out for everyone to see that they do not want to do wrist bands for every single pool. Plus, if they start doing that for the deluxe resorts then they need to do wrist bands for all the resorts, including value resortsI admire the fact that you seem to have insider information about Disney’s views on wristbands, though.
Agree! A lot of work for a crowded pool and a slide...because they are being blamed when it isn’t them. The value resorts all have decent pools and kid splash pads. To think many of them are trekking to the other pools just isn’t practical. It’s more so the Disney springs people who don’t have a Disney pool as an alternative. Thus the specific reason is because I don’t think it’s the value resort people causing the issue and all the people who toss excessive money at the deluxe resorts are blaming them which is ridiculous.

Maybe, if you are staying at a deluxe during holiday times you can’t even use the Disney spring buses as they are absolutely packed and the lines are crazy.Maybe the Disney Spring's return buses should be limited to resort guests.
WAY too much work.Agree! A lot of work for a crowded pool and a slide...

I agree especially some the art of animation room are regularly $500+ and pretty much always more expensive than many deluxe resorts.WAY too much work.
I could be completely wrong, but I just can't imagine large numbers of Value(I have always said Disney needs to drop that name-many interpret "Value" as meaning "Cheap" which they certainly are not either in price or quality) Resorts Guests going to the trouble.
Spot on and then factor in the needing a change of clothes to come with you and stuff like that and it just doesn’t make sense for lots of people to do it when they have decent pools and kid splash pads right there. Now I could see some Pop Century Guests making the short walk and crashing the AoA pools.
But I just don't know that this conversation is happening a lot:
"Kids,I know you like it here at Pop Century/All-Stars and there are Pools as far as the eye can see here, but let's get busy packing up and get on out to the Buses so we can head to Magic Kingdom,go through Security and take a little walk-KIDS WE ARE GOING TO THE POLY-WOO HOO!".
I, along with most people, would immediately call the cops and an unpleasant interaction would unfold. The exact situation Disney prob wants to avoid.Imagine grilling on your back deck and I just venture over and start using your grill at the same time. There’s plenty of room on your grill what does it matter.
There’s lots of videos online of this occurring! The result isn’t pleasant.Or you pay to go on the golf course and I just venture on at your second hole and start playing along side with my family unpaid because, “there’s plenty of room”.
“Your space” it seems like the issue is with the people who sold you the tickets. You don’t own all the lawn nor have standing to call the police unlike the property owner.Or you paid for lawn seats to see your favorite artist and a couple hundred people crash the concert unpaid and take up your space on the lawn.
Easy, I’ll leave and ask for a refundOr you go to see a movie and people rush in unpaid and take all the seats leaving you to stand in aisle.
I’ll tell the usher to have the person in my assigned seat to leave.Or go to your favorite sporting event and unpaid guests take paid seats leaving the paid guest in standing room only
You are making this assumption that it is unpaid guests taking up the space, but there could also just be a lot of paid guests there. you really are just tossing the world “thief” and “stole” out in an inappropriate context and using the terms completely wrong. Y’all are siting here blaming these imaginary people instead of Disney for not increasing hotel capacities and not building larger pools. To those arguing for argument sake do you get it now? Unpaid guests taking the seats, chairs, table, towels, and/or space of paying guests is offensive and not okay. The paid guest paid for the appurtenances that come with the stay. The party crasher did not. Now the paid guest has to pay for the unpaid. That makes the unpaid a thief. They stole from fellow guests and the hotel because someone has to cover the expenses
