Using pools if not a guest

Everyone is just blaming random families staying at value resorts, sorry that I don’t agree with that unsubstantiated claim that massive amounts of families from value resorts are the reason grand Floridians pool is packed.
There have been first-hand d accounts of this happening in this thread. And I’m sure this is just the smallest subset that we’ve heard. And it may not always be families from a “value resort” doing this. It could be any guest at the MK, onsite or otherwise, who are taking advantage of a close pool to go have a dip in during the hottest part of the day. Boggles my mind why some are against having g wrist bands for all resort pools and are minimizing how much this occurs 🙄

Grand Floridian is not exactly a close by pool for any of the value resorts. It requires a decent amount of transportation and a transfer.

Disney is not a huge fan of the wrist bands which is why they don’t offer it for all the pools.

Or a bus to MK and a 15 min walk. Most of the deluxes are easy to get to from a park, that’s one of their selling features…but it also makes them targets for pool crashers.

You’re very defensive about the value guests not being pool crashers. Any specific reason why?

I admire the fact that you seem to have insider information about Disney’s views on wristbands, though.

Wait time for bus 15 minutes, then bus ride maybe 15-20 minutes. Then have to go through security and depending on what bringing could trigger extra search and more time. Then you have to still walk to the grand Floridian or somehow get there still another 15-20 minutes.
So far the time necessary is well over an hour and a decent amount of effort and it’s not even certain they could sneak in once they get there! In all that time they could just enjoy the value hotel pool.

because they are being blamed when it isn’t them. The value resorts all have decent pools and kid splash pads. To think many of them are trekking to the other pools just isn’t practical. It’s more so the Disney springs people who don’t have a Disney pool as an alternative. Thus the specific reason is because I don’t think it’s the value resort people causing the issue and all the people who toss excessive money at the deluxe resorts are blaming them which is ridiculous.

The simple fact is the info is out for everyone to see that they do not want to do wrist bands for every single pool. Plus, if they start doing that for the deluxe resorts then they need to do wrist bands for all the resorts, including value resorts

Agree! A lot of work for a crowded pool and a slide...

Maybe the Disney Spring's return buses should be limited to resort guests.

exactly if it was truly about the single slide then it’s much less work right now to just do a split stay at the value resort to use the water park that day, which has many more slides and obviously better slides.
Even if they have to check out of that room and store their stuff with the bellhopper it’s less work and they get more slides for free………without having to worry about if they will be able to get in or not or having a feeling that they could get kicked out. Plus, it’s easier for them to get to the water park, they can even drive there in this case or take a direct bus.

Maybe, if you are staying at a deluxe during holiday times you can’t even use the Disney spring buses as they are absolutely packed and the lines are crazy.

WAY too much work.

I could be completely wrong, but I just can't imagine large numbers of Value(I have always said Disney needs to drop that name-many interpret "Value" as meaning "Cheap" which they certainly are not either in price or quality) Resorts Guests going to the trouble.

Now I could see some Pop Century Guests making the short walk and crashing the AoA pools.

But I just don't know that this conversation is happening a lot:

"Kids,I know you like it here at Pop Century/All-Stars and there are Pools as far as the eye can see here, but let's get busy packing up and get on out to the Buses so we can head to Magic Kingdom,go through Security and take a little walk-KIDS WE ARE GOING TO THE POLY-WOO HOO!".

I agree especially some the art of animation room are regularly $500+ and pretty much always more expensive than many deluxe resorts.

Spot on and then factor in the needing a change of clothes to come with you and stuff like that and it just doesn’t make sense for lots of people to do it when they have decent pools and kid splash pads right there.
