Using pools if not a guest

She argued with the CM for like 5 minutes until she just grabbed her kids and left. She was staying at some non Disney timeshare nearby and was convinced that she could be there for whatever reason (*cough* entitlement *cough*)
I wonder if she tried showing them her DVC White Card that says only one thing: enjoy pool hopping. Then the CMs say sorry, not permitted here. She asks them where, leaning on their professionalism to know or go find out. That answer is ‘nowhere, actually’ to which she now hopes to gain sympathy points for DVC causing all this unnecessary confusion.

It’s a plausible deniability for pool hopping card.

DVC should remove the words unless they plan to bring some back in the short term.

I forgot to mention - she also could have taken the words on the card literally.

Nope, 0 mention of DVC.

That does sound pretty flawed on Disney part. Not everyone stays super up to date with all the in’s and out’s

I think if you are smart enough to know how to buy DVC, your smart enough to know when things get updated.

Usually anyone who buys DVC is a Disney fanatic who knows all aspects to begin with and probably hang on these boards or others

This has to be addressed. It's getting worse and worse. As a DVC owner at Beach Club I may just be staying there until this is a across the board at every DVC resort. At Grand Floridian last year there were people openly talking about how they were staying at All Star. Poly pool last year when I stayed was absolutely packed, tons of guests from all over in the pool to watch fireworks at night! Disney needs to clamp down and enforce overnight registered guests only in the pool areas!!!!
This is the reason we avoid Poly. We visited one year and overheard a HUGE group commenting that they never visit the parks, just hang at the Poly when they are in the mood for fireworks. We've also shared a bus with a group that was traveling to Poly for fireworks, and the kids were planning on swimming. They parked at Disney Springs....I don't feel it's fair to have to fight for a spot after spending thousands on a week's stay to have someone come in off the street and receive the same benefits for the cost of parking a car. This is another reason I like AKL, especially Kidani Village. It's so far-removed people seldom "sneak" over. I've often wondered why they don't issue bands (like the ones at Beach/Yacht Club) to prevent this at all resorts, including value. The pools should be for the pleasure of the guests staying at the resort!

Last week at the Grand Floridian they were scanning Magic Bands and issuing bands to guests. The lady in the lounge chair next to us claimed her husband had their magic bands but was in the restroom. When the CM checking the bands stated they would be back to check the lady packed up her children and shot out of there.
