Using pool and parking after check out?

Does Disney allow guests to use the resort pool for a little while after check out time? Would it be possible for us to leave our car parked at the resort after check out and ride the bus to Disney Springs for a few hours before returning for our car? We will be staying at AKL if that makes a difference. Any info. is appreciated. Thanks!

Yes and yes! You have access to hotel amenities (like parking lots and the pool) until midnight on the day of check out.

Not an issue. Check out and enjoyed the Poly pool all day. Magic band still worked on the gate and everything!

We've done just that at both the Poly and WL, and both had bathrooms near the pools with showers. We took a bar of soap and shampoo with us when leaving room, and everything was fine. Great way to kill time if you have a late flight!

AKL Jumba, has a nice locker room, with showers, near the pool.

But keep in mind that you might not have a shower available.

AKL has nice shower/change rooms and lockers by the pool. They also have those soap & shampoo dispensers in the shower, but I bring the toilettries from our room with me The room soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.
You can also leave your luggage with Bell Service untill your ready to leave if you don't want to leave it in a hot car all day. ESP if you have any electronics.

Just verify that where you are swimming has showers. Our last trip we ended up traveling back home smelling like chlorine.

Beach club supposedly had showers. But all they did was spit. I know the pool has been renovated, but we ended up out of luck.

Totally agree. Check out time at Disney World means you need to have your things out of your room at that time. That does not mean you have to leave the grounds at that time. You are a guest at that resort from the minute are arrive on the grounds to checkin until midnight of the day you check out.
