Using Points Outside DVC

We have a stay upcoming this August at OKW, but we've also booked AKL Concierge for the last three days of our stay. We got a great rate on the room ($744 for three nights), but I was curious as to how many points it would have cost had we wanted to do it that way. Turns out that we would be using 212 points for those 3 nights.

I said to DW last night that I would never use our DVC points to make use of the Disney Collection unless it was a case of "use them or lose them". This just drove that point home in a very forceful way.
