Using Points for DCL

Can anyone tell me if they had any problems using their DVC points to make reservations on the DCL? We booked a 4 day cruise on the Wonder for this November. Our points only covered one room (we needed 2) and I booked both rooms at the same time. I have paid off the cash room but my reservation for my point room still shows I have an outstanding balance that must be paid by 09/03/04. I have called the DCL to make certain they understood that this was a DVC booking and the CM assured me that as it got closer to the date it would change the outstanding balance to paid in full. I'm now only 12 days from the pay in full date and am starting to get nervous. I cannot loose this reservation!

Has this happened to anyone else - or should I be calling DCL and talking to a supervisor?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think you have anything to worry about. My "guess" is that DVC hasn't sent the $$ to DCL yet and that it is standard procedure for them to pay at some agreed upon interval. DVC has some sort of "negotiated contract" with DCL for booking members on cruises.

If you need reassurance, call MS - DVC made the booking for you and is responsible for payment. Just ask the CM why DCL is not showing the points reservation as paid since the points have been deducted. Tell them you are concerned because the "deadline" is so near.

Again, I really do not think there is a reason to worry.

As long as you have the confirm from DVC stating that "X" # of points are being deducted to "pay" for the cruise, I wouldn't worry at all!
