Using Points for 4 day cruise - Upgrades

If we use our dvc points for the 4 day cruise, what are the chances that we'll get upgraded to a better cabin? We're thinking of booking two standard inside cabins.

The chances of any free upgrade on the cruise are far and few between no matter how you pay for the cruise - Cash or DVC. It is not impossible though. I have seen a few DVCers post about getting upgrades on the Cruise Board, but only a few. In addition, I have only seen a few cahs customers being given upgrades too.

My advice, be sure to book the cabin that you want. No matter what, the cruise is great and you are hardly in your room at all. We had a Cat 10 on one cruise and a Cat 3 on the next. Loved them both.

we just did a cruise 2/15. I asked for an upgrade (nicely of course) even offered to pay cash for the upgrade, as I used points for the cruise. I was told there were NO upgrades available at all on this sailing. But yes, the cruise was great and in the big picture, the room didn't matter.
