using other people's FP+?

We are going in 16 days as a family of 5 on 2 reservations- me, hubby, and the two year old on one and my parents on another. My parents ended up with some different FP+ than us some of the time. For example they have a Journey of the Little Mermaid FP that my hubby and I do not. Can we use their FP+ to have the three of us (me, hubby, DD) ride instead of them if we want to? Would we have to switch MBs with them? Is this a huge no-no? I am a first timer other than once as a teen 10 years ago so I'm not sure how this works. Thanks!

I think it would work fine. You would have to switch bands to use the FP+. On our spring break trip last year i handed my daughter my band to use my FP+ on a roller coaster that I didn't want to ride so she could ride it a second time.

Yes, it's fine. We did this on our last trip because my MIL and I really don't do more than a couple thrill rides. So we let ODS and DH use some of ours. You will have to swap MagicBands to do it though.

We did this on our trip. My mom didn't want to ride Space Mountain or use a FP for Big Thunder Mountain (she'd ridden stand-by twice already), so she gave her band to one of my older boys so they could ride again.

It's perfectly acceptable.

Perfectly acceptable. Just don't forget to swap back after a ride or you may find yourself thirsty with no way to pay (because you don't have mom's PIN) for a drink if you're apart from the group later that day. . . Not that it's happened to me or anything!!
