Using Mears- what if my flight arrives early?

Flying on Southwest, the only way to get to the airport gets me there 3 hours before flight time. Southwest now offers "free" standby for taking an earlier flight, if there's availability. I can see the possibility of this happening, but it'd get me to MCO several hours earlier than I'd reserved for Mears. I know Mears says the reservation is good for 48 hours, but assume that means AFTER your booking time. Do you think I'd be able to hop on a bus that is earlier than my reservation states, rather than later?

I would assume you're not assigned a particular bus, and you'd be able to get on an earlier one.

Worst case scenario, you either wait for your bus or sacrifice that money and hop in a ride share.

Personally, I'd rather be waiting at MCO than waiting at my home airport.

Since you’re not reserving a specific bus, I would anticipate you could use it early but if it were me, I would contact Mears directly to ask this.

You’ll have no problem. Mears will get you on the next available bus (or van).

Can ypu just give them another flight option and get picked up for the faux flight.

I know from experience that you can hop on a bus that is earlier than your reservation states.

Go ahead and take that earlier flight. You'll get the next available bus.

I know what I would do: call and ask

I just used Mears 9/21 and again 9/28 and it was very good!

If you've used the old Magical Express, it's in the same place at MCO

Mears has walk up available. You shouldn't have an issue other than waiting a little longer depending on how full the busses are

Mears offers reservations for two reasons. One so that they can have adequate drivers available but flights are delayed all the time so there is never any type of specific seat on a specific bus reserved for you. The buses are deployed to general areas and I am sure there is some sort of formula before the bus leave the depot. Like whatever comes first, the bus will depart after it is either full or 20 minutes have passed and another bus would then start loading following the same pattern. The second reason they take reservations is they get free use of your money in the interim.
