Using Mears from Coronado Springs to Hard Rock?

Has anyone used Mears shuttle from WDW resort to Universal Resort? I am wondering about approx costs, it will be one adult and one child, age 10 which I believe gets a child's rate on Mears. We will be going one-way from Coronado Springs to Hard Rock Hotel. How far ahead would I need to reserve? Can I do it at CSR the day prior or day of? We are not sure of what time we will be ready to move to HRH, probably mid afternoon.

I think there's a difference in price between going to Universal for a day (transporting people) and moving over there for a stay (moving people and luggage).
Have you checked the Mears website for pricing? A taxi would probably cost around $40, but in addition to miles you are also charged for "wait time" if there's heavy traffic.
A town car would probably be around $40 or $50 one way, plus tip.
