Using FOTL at restaurants - must all diners have one?

We'll be staying on-site for the first time and plan to use FOTL for next seating at restaurants. We'll be meeting family members just coming to the park for the day. If we eat a meal with them, can we use our FOTL for next seating for all of us or will the restaurant check to see if everyone in our group has a room key?

Don't know how many people will be in your group, but a few of the places (Margaritaville for one) have a limit of no more than 7 in the group to use FOTL. Any parties of 8 or more, even if they all have room keys, cannot use FOTL.

When you arrive and put your name in, show your room key and say "I'm a resort guest. Will this help shorten our wait?" They will most likely say 'yes', but they may not accept it either..... so, don't expect it, that way when it does happen, you'll be pleasantly surprised

Wow, never heard of this. Does it work w/Premier Passes too (i.e. can be used after 4 p.m.)? I looked at the online Premier info. and didn't see it.

I really don't know You would think it would....but, who knows? I think you should have dinner at UO tomorrow night, try it and let us know
