Using DVC points at Galactic Starcruiser

I was wondering if anyone has heard any rumors of being able to use DVC points at Galactic Starcruiser? I have seen the purposed prices for Galactic Starcruiser, and it is in line with a Disney Cruise, which makes sense. Therefore, I hope that DVC would allow you to book Galactic Starcruiser as they do the Disney Cruise.

If they allow it, it will likely be at a very bad trade value, like most cruises.

But what might be decent — there may be a decent AP/DVC discount, especially if demand isn’t strong year-round.

Plus, there really hasn’t been any leaks as to what the price of that is going to be other than people posting their thoughts here or on other forums. People are just guessing at what they think the price will be.

I would think it could eventually become part of the Disney Collection but the trade value would be horrible as it is with cruises and staying on the hotel side.

Which also means that it is direct points only (or old school resale).

It would probably be something equivalent to Adventures By Disney point-wise.

Probably best to rent your points to someone and book a reservation. That's what we do for DCL.

The wisdom of that has been shown this last year, for sure. Because DCL then treats you as a cash booking when something cancels.

Rent out your DVC points, take that money to pay for stay at the Galactic Starcruiser. I understand that some people have 1,000’s of points and just use them however they want.

DVC Member Services told me, today, that DVC will be able to use points for the Galactic Starcruiser, but the points needed will not be made available until 10/7. I'd probably be willing to use "Cruise-level" points to try this experience.
