Using DLH Pool on Last Day

DD and I are heading down to Disneyland tomorrow. Woo hoo! We are staying at the DLH through Friday. Our flight on Friday doesn't leave until pretty late and Friday is supposed to be the hottest day on our trip. I know I've read that guests can continue to access the DLH pools after check out on their last day, but has anyone actually done so? I'm trying to think of the most efficient way to do this if we decide we need a swim break from hot and/or crowded parks. Maybe pack a backpack with bathing suits, sunscreen, brush, and makeup and check it in to one of the lockers at the park? The rest of our suitcases will be checked with bell services until we need to leave for the airport.

You can also leave a bag/backpack with Bell Services as well. I have done with a locker as well. You can always check you luggage/suitcases with Bell Services and then have your daughter check the bag separately. I have done both. It is very easy. A separate bag in a locker works.

I did exactly that on our last day at DLH in October. I packed a backpack with pool stuff and took it with me to the parks that morning, then we enjoyed the pool for a few hours, changed in the pool bathroom, and left. The only thing I didn't like about it was not being able to take a full shower after swimming. They have showers in the bathroom area, but if I remember correctly they're the outdoor type for just rinsing off, not for taking a proper shower to wash the chlorine out of your hair.

Make sure you also ask the front desk for a pool key for that afternoon because your regular room key will no longer work after check-out time.

Pack all your pool clothes, departure clothes and such for every one in one backpack or bag. You can check everything at the bell desk in the morning then when you return to the DLH just retrieve that one bag before heading to the pool which you can keep with you until departure.

I have retrieved single bag from our checked luggage many times and is very common to do...or as mentioned above have them check that one bag under a separate tag.
