Using Disney Visa to purchase Kroger gift card?

I got the offer of 5 times the rewards with grocery purchases in July through Sept. Does anyone know if you still get the rewards on grocery gift cards? It would be great to be able to get the points and the kroger gift card gives you 10% back. I didnt see it in the small print that you couldnt use it for GC but i wasnt for sure. Anyone know?

I'm pretty sure that gift cards are normally excluded from offers like that.

But give it a shot!

The fine print does not exclude gift cards specifically. But they can do what they want.

I bought three pre-paid credit cards, but have not received my bill, so I can't tell you what they earned - sorry.

I was wondering about gas, also. I buy my gas at Kroger and I'm not sure how it is coded.

I'm really bummed that none of the reward credit cards pay Walmart supercenter grocery rewards. I can understand that they don't want to pay out on non-food purchases, but they are coded differently for tax purposes. Why can't those be singled out and rewarded?

I used it to buy our Kroger cards, but Kroger is considered as other here so we get no extra rewards on anything bought there, even the gas. Most things don't qualify, even our dental bill was other!

Last time I was offered one of those 5x deals nothing was included. My local grocery store was coded as "other" and even my gas stations were coded as "auto service" so gas didn't count. It was a ripoff.

We got the 5X bonus reward offer twice: Jan-Mar and Apr-Jun. We earned 177 bonus rewards and we did probably 90% of our grocery shopping at Kroger. The other categories besides grocery for the bonus were dining, drug stores, and gas and we certaining didn't charged enough in those other categories to earn 177 bonus rewards. Most of those bonus rewards had to be from Kroger.

No, it isn't here. I even called Chase because at the time it wasn't even a Super Kroger, just a Kroger for groceries. The Walmart is a Super so it didn't count which I can see, but Kroger sold 80% groceries at the time.
Just checked my statement and Kroger, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot are classified as "other". Even my crocs I just ordered at 6pm.com is "other". So I will never get over the $1000.00 to get the extra 5X. This is like the third or fourth time we've been offered the extra rewards and it has never amounted to much for us. DH charged a business trip to CA (a resort) and we had furniture and carpet for a total of 12,000 and we got 11 whole bonus points!

well i guess the best thing to do would be to call b/c it seems that everyone got a different invitation with different restrictions. thanks for all the input.
