Using Disney Visa rewards at restaurants??

In the past I have just applied all my available rewards to my room balance when checking into our Disney resort. This year we may stay at S/D so that will not be an option.

I'm wondering how it works in the restaurants? Do you just give them the rewards card and does it work like a debit card? Do you need to keep track of your own balance on the card? I expect to have around 500 points by the time we go.

Yes, it works just like a debit card and you will see your remaining balance at the bottom of your receipt each time you use it. We had no problems using it at any of the restaurants or snack kiosks.

It was very easy. Just used mine last week. I was worried on how it would work but it was great.
