Using Disney Visa at BJ's?

Anyone with experience using the Disney Premier Visa at BJ's? I am trying to figure our what the rewards percentage is? Does it fall under the 1% retail or the 2% grocery.

Most likely it will be 1% categorized as warehouse club/discount retail. But each location can be different so maybe make a small purchase and see how it goes.

Because of you, I was curious if I earned Disney rewards for buying gift cards from BJ's on my last statement. Cause we are not suppose to get earned rewards for gift card purchases anymore. Or at least I got that mail. So I did get $1 for each $100 spent. Earned one more free ice cream.

It's a ridiculous rule. I didn't think they had any decent way of enforcing it? Were you notified of being in violation or something with the "mail" you mentioned? I'm a DV holder too but it's entirely possible I missed that mailer if it was a general mailer.

Than you. I made a small purchase over the weekend but I was anxious see before I get the credit. I'm new to the DV so I wasn't sure if Chase breaks it down by purchase. Either way, the 1% plus discounted price makes it a better deal than Target for me.

Are you sure you received a notice from Chase about the Disney Visa not rewarding points for gift card purchases? I don't recall seeing any notice like that. I'm not sure how they would track it, since Chase doesn't receive any kind of breakdown of the purchase, just the final amount put to the card. My grocery store will exclude gift cards for some of their promotions (minimum purchase, or when doing a game with tickets earned, etc.) but I don't think Chase has the ability to determine how much of the purchase is for gift cards versus other product(s). I usually buy gift cards at the grocery store along with my weekly groceries and always receive full 2% rewards on my Disney Visa for the whole transaction.
