Using DIsney Dollars at DD

I have a DIsney Rewards card. Can I use that to pay at the Downtown Disney restaurants like Ghiardelli's and Wolfgang Puck Express?

We had drinks at Fulton's at DTD and I tried to pay with my rewards card (you mean the card with the dollars you accumulate from the Visa card, right?) and the bartender said they do not accept it because they are not a DISNEY restaurant. So we paid cash.

Then we went upstairs for dinner, and we paid with Disney dollars. The waiter had to go check to make sure they were accepted, and they were, so we were all set.

So I would think the answer is "no." You can always try...but make sure you have some cash or a credit card on ya!

BTW...DO NOT eat at Fultons! Blech!

I just quickly wanted at add...I am not sure what we had were Disney Dollars or a gift certificate. they are what we received for going to the DVC sales presentation a few months ago. I keep calling them "Disney Dollars" but they were two $50 certificates and I read on these boards that Disney only JUST started issuing a $50 Disney dollar.

Anyway, I don't think that has any bearing on your original question, but just in case someone else reads this...maybe Fulton's does or does not take Disney Dollars...but they took whatever it was that I had that night!
