Using codes and hotel switch

My husband and I are planning a long weekend getaway 7/3-7/7 without kids :D this time and while I wait patiently for AP rates, I guess I'd better book under the AEA code for now. My question is, since the code expires 7/3, will it cover our entire stay? Also, we will probably stay at the POFQ, but I would like to splurge our night and perhaps have a romantic stay at the Poly (never been before). Would it be worth the trouble of switching rooms. If the price is right, I'd really like a lagoon view, but don't know if the cost is worthwhile. What do you think???

if the code is applicable on 7/3 then it should apply for all nights in your reservation, but if you stay at a different hotel one night that would have to be done on a different reservation and the code would not apply. If you don't mind not having a room available for part of the day one day then you should be fine, but since the code will not apply for the entire trip if you stay at two different places I would figure out how you would save more money, using the code only the first night for the Poly and possibly having to pay rack rate for the other nights if a code doesn't come out for that time period, or using the code for the first 3 nights with the possibility of paying rack rate for the Poly one night.

I hope that I didn't confuse you even more.
