Using Carolyn Allens and have questions??

We have decided that we will use Caroly Allens for dress steaming and tux rental. My question is how much time do they need prior to the ceremony for fittings, steaming etc.

If we arrive on Sunday by lunch will a Tuesday ceremony leave enough time? What is the procedure for the tux rental? Do they come for a fitting prior to the wedding day?

They came the day before our wedding and steamed the dresses and had the fittings with the guys. I would schedule a time with them to see what would work best. We sent the sizes in ahead of time, and then they altered/ returned/ got new or whatever they needed to to make sure that everything fit. Carolyn Allen's is GREAT! You are not going to have to worry about a thing. Just make sure that you take the time to schedule and coordinate with them.

Thanks so much for the reply....so if I understand correctly....you send the measurements/sizes etc ahead of time. We then make an appt for them to come the day before (in our case the Monday). They then do final fittings etc, will steam the gown, etc on that day. If they need to make changes to the tuxes, when do they bring them back?

Hi! I used them. She was wonderful. They came right to our room on the day we arrived. We even had to push it back a couple of hours because our room wasn’t ready and it was fine. The only thing I would suggest is maybe do it on Sunday or early in the morning on Monday incase something doesn't fit. My husband pants were too big and the next day she had left them in the luggage room of our hotel. I think we had a Saturday fitting and our wedding was on Tuesday. (We got married this July). After the wedding we left his tux in the luggage room and she came a picked it up. It was so easy. I would use them again in a heart beat!!! Good luck!

Thanks very much. I would actually prefer the Sunday....I didn't realize they would come on Sunday as well. If we had them come in the afternoon after 3 our room should be ready.
