Using Budget from MCO to Port Canaveral to Disney?

We've used town cars in the past, but are looking to rent a car for at least one leg of our upcoming trip: Flying into Orlando then to Port Canaveral for a Magic cruise, then WDW. Any recent experiences with Budget -- at MCO, Cape Canaveral or WDW? Our online quote is great, but I am a little apprehensive about some sort of hidden charges, or hassles at some pickup or dropoff points.

Any info would be appreciated! :Pinkbounc

There are no hidden charges on Budget's quotes. Bring it with you and you should have no problems. One thing, however, they love to push you to buy insurance. They are one of the most pushy.

It's funny, I have never had that experience. I do belong to Fast Break (or whatever they call it these days), so my paperwork is all done when I get there. Perhaps that's why...

Anyway, I use them a lot, they are no better or worse than any of the other majors. Go with the best price you can get!

the fact that you are Fast Break is probably the reason you don't get the insurance push. I used them twice in the past and got the heavy push for insurance. I just said no.
People complain about Alamo, and I have never had the problem after I joined QS.

I didn't have any problems with Budget when I used them last October. I'm a Fastbreak member so no insurance pushing here. It was all very fast. As a matter of fact, my daughter got sick after our cruise (we were renting from Budget again for the last part of our trip) and we had to drive home instead of fly. I called Budget to find out what we had to do. They were so nice about the whole thing, didn't make me return the car we had for another one (another agent said we had to do that) and only charged us $100 to drop it off at Newark Airport. They waived all other fees like the per mile fee when it's out of state and the $250 drop off at a location other than the one I was supposed to. Since then, we are definitely going to rent from them again this October. Something like this makes all the difference in the world, IMO.
