Using a Unique Offer Code

I'm going to Disney in Feb for the Princess 1/2 and booked a room at All Star Sports. My dad was sent a unique offer code the day after I booked my hotel. When I called Disney to apply the offer they wouldn't let me because it was under my fathers name. My dad hasn't traveled to Disney in 10 years so I don't know how he got the code. However, they wouldn't let me transfer the offer to my reservation. Has anyone been able to use an offer code that was not under their name before?

Codes are usually name specific and non-transferable, so unless your dad is going on the trip with you, you wouldn't be able to take advantage of the discount. With that said, I've never tried using a code that wasn't in my or my DH's name, so I can't comment on whether or not its been done.

Unique offers are non transferrable. I have seen a few in the past where it was allowed IF the person going has the same last name and address as the person who got the code, but have not heard of that happening in the past year. The offers are often sent to people who have not been to Disney in a while to entice them for another trip. There is no secret way to actually get one, it's the randomness of Disney promotions and what market they are after with the latest offer.

I get codes sent to my email for my sister, its really annoying because they will not let me use them. they also told me that since my email was used for her account, until it was removed as her primary email, I would not get codes. they only go to one person listed on an email. it was hard to get fixed but they did fix it......for a while.
