using a luggage rack

We are driving to DL in a couple of weeks in our Dodge Caravan (no the Grand) and I was going to try and utilize the luggage rack on top for the pack n play and the stroller. Are there any tips or tricks to this or do you just securely strap stuff to the top and go??

We have used our caravan for many a road trip and usually utilize a soft-sided car top carrier we purchased years ago for under $30. Never had a problem with it. Keeps everything contained and provides a little weather resistance along the way. It has straps that attach to the luggage rack and zipper closures. We have put strollers, beach chairs, boogie boards etc up there to allow for more room for suitcases and other things you wouldn't want rained-on, in the "trunk" area. Have a great trip!!
