I haven't been since about 06 and was wondering how the fire affected the studio tour. I heard that King Kong was destroyed and was wondering if they rebuilt it or what they have instead and also do they take you into town square anymore? I heard that was affected by the fire as well. Like the area that was in back to the future and was then the town for Ghost Whisperer?

We are thinking about going christmas week and just wondering what to expect.

Thanks

The fire affected the tour from June 2008 until July 2010. The
Kong attraction was destroyed and rebuilt, the Town Square was
destroyed and rebuilt. The area where they shot “Ghost Whisperer”
was destroyed as well as the Clock Tower building. Both have been
rebuilt but look very different now.

Do you know if the tour goes through the town square area? We are huge Ghost Whisperer fans and would love to see it. I realize they aren't filming the show anymore but thought it would be neat to see the area.

Thanks for the other info!!

Hi

I did the tour about 3-4 weeks ago and we did not get to go through town square (Which annoyed me cause i am a Back to the Future Fanatic)

I dont know if this was due to filming.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info! I am a huge back to the future fan as well. Bummer!

Since the backlot is a real, working, studio there are times
when the tram tour must bypass areas. Sometimes taking
the tour again a few hours later will give you a different tour.
You can always ask when you get there.

Thanks! Hopefully we'll get lucky! Would love to see it!

There were times when we got to go through the area & other times when we would just drive by it, but you will most likely @ least get to drive by the area & snap some pics. :thumbsup2
