User CP question

When I go to the User CP page to check if the threads I have subscriptions to have any new posts, it keeps saying there are no new posts. But then if I click "view all subscribed threads" there are ones that have no posts since the last time I visited.

So why aren't they showing up as new?

Also, when I go to the Disneyland forum, threads with no posts aren't in bold like they should be.
