It's -6 here right now and not much wind so no wind chill - we're off to the other side of the state this morning to visit one of the kids. It was -22 there yesterday - up in the mountains.

BUT we are due for a heat wave though - might get up to 15 today - and they're predicting 32 late next week. I better get out the sun tan lotion and check the AC.


Last night when we went out for dinner the car's thermometer showed -10 and the warniong came up on the info center ICE POSSIBLE! No *shoot*

Good thing they put these warnings in the vehicle systems, huh? Who would have guessed that ice was possible in Buffalo in January?

I get a kick out of the kids watching the temp guage on the dash of the truck. As we're backing out of the garage they see it's 34, by the end of the first block it's reading 15. They are convinced that the temperature just dropped 19 degrees! Winter happens fast 'round here!

Here's a useless fact....

Jon Gruden (Tampa Bay Buc's head coach) was fired yesterday as was Buc's manager Bruce Allen. Gruden had a contract extension to 2010, so they will probably have to pay him the $$$ for the rest of his contract.

The media keeps touting Gruden's Super Bowl win the year after Dungy left - but we all know he accomplished that because he was working with the team Tony Dungy built.

The owners of the Buc's, (Glazer brothers) said they had seen enough of aging quarterbacks, mediocre drafts and a coach and general manager who often pinned the blame for poor finishes on injuries.

It will be interesting to see who (if anyone) picks Gruden up.
