I would assume that if you are staying concierge for the land part of the package that you should have received the email/snail mail welcome and questionaire. i don't see why it would be any different.

This is how he email started:

"Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has assembled a team of itinerary planners who will work closely with you in developing an itinerary that best meets the needs and wishes of your party. Many of our restaurants, recreational opportunities, spa treatments, and shows can be booked 180 days or more in advance of your visit. For the greatest success in securing the dates and times you prefer, we recommend that you may contact us by e-mail, telephone, or by completing and returning the attached Personal Vacation Itinerary Planner. All requests made will be booked, based upon availability. A confirmation will be returned to you in the form of a personalized itinerary.

Your itinerary planning team is available to assist you from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., everyday of the week, excluding holidays. We may be reached via e-mail, mail, fax, or telephone at the numbers and address listed. We encourage you to visit our website: www.disneyworld.com.

For any further questions, please contact us. We look forward to serving you soon!"

Yes we are staying concierge for the land portion of the trip. I booked a year ago and our trip is in October. I have not received any mail from them. I guess I need to initiate contact with them. Thanks for the info!

Based on my experience, I believe they started the emails, the sender of which is "Corp Business Objects", sometime last summer so if you booked a year ago that may be the reason - it was before they made the switch, although I would think you'd have rec'd something in the mail directly from the GF :confused3

I called CRO Wed. night and put an AKL CL room on hold (no deposit yet) for August and this morning (Fri) before 9am I had already received the AKL IPO welcome email w/questionnaire!!! :surfweb:

Hi! We are staying at the CR atrium club concierge in late Oct 08. I have just sent off my ADR requests and by the very next morning Calvin from the CR IPO had sent me back my ADR times and conf. no's. Very impressive considering I was still 3 days away from my ADR 180 day window opening!

Just a quick few questions on concierge planning. I am in Australia and last year we had trouble with booking the Magical express so can I ask the concierge planner to organise and book it for me? Also, can they assist with little surprises etc to have left in the room? Any one have any good ideas that are not too pricey that I can ask for them to organise for my sister? Thanks heaps

Calvin is so great I really enjoyed working with him.
As for ME they certainly can set that up for you, just let them know your flight information.

They definitely can set up little surprises, when we stayed at CR I had a chocolate monorail sent to the room it was adorable.

Have a great trip!

I am soooooo excited! :cool1: :cool1:
We just booked the Princess suite for 1/2-1/6! This will be our last trip before our oldest goes to college so we really wanted to do it up! We will be at the BC from 1/30 -1/2. We have never done the wild and wooly Christmas season before, but can no longer take my oldest ones out of school. I was initially really tentative, but think with a good touring plan we'll be ok. Plus we only spend like half the time in the parks. Can't wait - we've been trying to get the suite since February! and someone cancelled:banana:
Only thing it's still so far away!

That is great! I hope you have a great time!! This is our first Christmas trip also. I am sure it will be crowded but hopefully will still be fun:santa:

I just rcvd my form from the GF. Our ADR's cannot be made until June. When should I send this form?? I just do not want it to get lost in the shuffle. Should I wait until closer to my ADR date?

The Princess suite is at the Poly. For some reason I have always wanted to stay at the Poly, and finally am:)

I'd like to hear the answer to this as well. It's my understanding that when they receive the form, they input your info in to the computer, so it's all ready at the 180 day mark. I also read on a few posts that the adr's were made a bit before the 180 day mark. I plan on getting it in by mid-June, a couple of weeks early.

As for the Christmas trip - it might be chaotic, and crazy and way, way crowded, but it will be waaaaay fun:santa: :santa:

I would send it in now and then at your say 220th day mark resend it with a little reminder. That's what I did. It made me feel better. When I sent the second note I received a reply telling me some were already made and they would get back to me when the others were done. I know my CRT dinner was made at like the 200 day mark! Go figure:confused3

Just wondering if anyone has had issues with their IPO not making the ressies at 180 days out. We are going New Year's time frame, so it's essential requests are made right then. Our TA will do this for us as well - do you think it's better to go through concierge or my TA?

If the ressies are important to you, you should make them yourself. You can call right at 7am on your 180 day window. Make sure you have your reservation number handy when you call.

Which concierge are you staying at?
You can let them do it and also do it yourself for double protection. Just use a different phone number for the 2 . You can then cancel any duplicates.

Is it true? I was just looking at the Luxury Guide online and she says that all the concierge rooms at WL have standing room balconies. We were upgraded to the Honeymoon Suite . Is it true for that also?:confused3
