Hello knowledgable DISers!
I read a lot of this thread, but not all. I am booked for a deluxe concierge room at the Beach Club this coming April and am hoping to get some information.
Has anyone stayed in the deluxe concierge room before? Is it indeed bigger than a regular concierge room (we're a family of 6)? I heard from the CM I spoke to that it is on a different floor than the lounge, but just an elevator away (whatever that means...)![]()
This is our first stay at Disney ever and I'm just learning. I booked all my ADRs. Other than that, what do you get in contact with the IPO prior to your trip for? What kind of "goodies" (as someone in a prior post called them!) should I be requesting? I want to make sure we're utilizing them and getting our $ worth.
How is the BC Concierge? Food good? I keep reading that Disney coffee is on the bad side... do the concierge lounges serve different better coffee?
Anything I've read about the BC concierge has not been from someone who stayed there recently.
By chance anyone have pics?
Any experience/advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!

It's no big deal to be on a different floor from the lounge. We actually prefer it at AKL. The lounge is small @ BC and it can be cramped at peak times if you visiting during a busier time of year. If it's spring break kind of timing then expect it to be crowded. We never ate got to eat in the lounge because of crowds. We ate in our room instead (we had a large room so biggie really
). The people were very pushy getting food, but that's a guest problem and not a CM/service problem. The food was okay. Nothing stood out to me. It's your basic continental breakfast, snacks and a hot appetizer/desserts in the evening. I prefer not to stay CL at the BC/YC unless it's off season. The CM's were very good to us at BC though. I love the proximity of Epcot/MGM and the decor of the rooms. You'll still have a great stay with the right frame of mind. Don't let a few hoarders ruin your time. I actually waved people through and told them I'm in no rush. I got a few looks so maybe I was a bit sassy?
But hey at least my blood pressure stayed low during my vacation by not having people reaching over me and sighing.

We just came back the beginning of January and are looking to return this coming May. They have become a second family to us.
The lounge is open from 7am-10 serving a continental breakfast, then from 11-4 for juice and snacks, then from 5-7 serving appetizers, beer, wine, cheese, then from 8-10 serving dessert and cordials. If you would like wine or beer instead, all you need to do is ask. You can also take back to your room a bottle of water if you just ask a castmember. You can also watch Illuminations from the balcony. This comes in handy in bad weather. The staff can assist you with ADR's or scheduling of tours.
