Do you tip the conceirge staff? They have been so helpful in my planning stages, I am wondering if people tip them and if so how much is appropriate?

It is considered a non-tipped position and there are rules about what they can accept.

I know friends of mine have left sealed thank you cards in their name.... Know whut I mean Vern?

The Concierge Cast Members who are helping you in your planning stages are the ones from the IPO departments and not the ones you will see on your floor when you stay at your Resort.

Howdy. Is it true that I should contact the Poly and tell them we are coming and staying LVC? Or will the staff at Poly email me in a few months? Should I make my own ADRs or wait for concierge? Trips not till Nov./Dec. Im all new to this.
Thanks. :wizard: :wizard:

Just seeing if anybody has an answer for me. :rolleyes1 :)

It really depends on what you want Poppinsme
I would send them an email with your reservation # and name. Ask them to email you the preplanning paper work and then fill it out and email it back in. I would email them again about 10 days before the 190 mark about your ADRS espceially if you want hard to get places. If you want to plan something special for your trip email them about, also email with any ?s thats what they are there for. I always find my concierge trips much more special when I have taken the time to get to know the IPO staffs and thank for them for their hard work.

The WL/Ply share an IPO staff and they are GREAT! I stayed WL concierge last year and the IPO was so good. Brandon, Lynne, Trish, Allison. Thsi week I emailed back and forth with Patricia and seemed very nice but yesterday got to talk with Allison. Allison is so great and it was nice to see she is still there.

Good luck!

I too would like an answer to this one. I am new to the conciege benefits as well. We just booked a room at WL concierge level. Our trip is late October. Our 180 mark for making dining reservations is coming up late next month. Should we make our reservations? We definitely will for Cindy's Castle.

I just wanted to sing the praises of the WL IPO office. I sent them a list of ADRs that I wanted for my upcoming trip. Even though they only had 30 days notice they managed to get all of them booked except one. These are all popular and desired restaurants, and it included a Fantasmic! dinner package. They said that they will try on a daily basis to book the one that they weren't able to previously.

They've been great in responding promptly and answering all my questions. I am so pleasantly surprised.

I hope to be just as happy and pleased. I sent an e-mail yesterday to them. Just waiting for a reply. My trip isn't until late October. I can't wait!!!!!

If you need the Poly IPO info...it's actually the same office that does the WL...

Could someone tell me how soon after my 180 ADR date I will receive the confirmations from the Poly staff? Thanks!

If you have not received them yet
I would email them asking how they are coming along with them and if there are any issues

I DID not hear back from until a week later AFTER I emailed tham and asked, even though they told me they would email me with my ADR's after they were obtained.

I submitted my ADRs to my concierge on 3/21. I sent a follow up email on 3/26 asking her to send me the reservation numbers so I could update my itinerary. I still haven't heard anything. Should I just make my own ADRs and forget about her, should I keep pestering her, or should I just call back and request someone else to work with? It's been 13 days since I made the first request. I am borderline annoyed. I am staying at the GF at the RPC.

Are you past your 180 day mark? If so, I'd make the adr's myself. Don't wait. You'll only regret it later.

I never heard back after a few days, so I ended up just making my own. When I finally got an email back it was to say that they were unable to get one of mine and would I like to change the time or date. I am glad I had done them myself. I was very disappointed as I thought this was a service that would make things easier for me, not more stressful.

Thanks. I was at 180 days when I sent her the list so I am on the phone right now. I guess I'll just send her an email saying it's done. Oh well!
