Use year question

Do you have to use all your points by the end of the use year or can the first day of your vacation be on the last day of your use year? We have a December use year and want to go to Disneyland on Nov 30th (the last day in our use year) because it is value but any dates before then are peak.

No, each night of your stay is treated separately. Nov 30 would be in your 2008 use year, Dec 1 would be in 2009.

No, each night of your stay is treated separately. Nov 30 would be in your 2008 use year, Dec 1 would be in 2009.

If you want to use your 2008 points for December 1, 2009, you can bank the number of points you will need for that night.

Since you have a December use year, you have until until the end of July 2009 to do any banking.

Thank you both. Unfortunately we are cancelling a cruise we booked using points because I will be too pregnant to go. As far as I understand they will turn into reservation points and those can not be banked... is that correct? I don't see why they can't be banked but rules are rules. We used two years worth of points for the cruise so now we are in a pickle.

Yes, that is true. You can't bank reservation points and they will all expire at the end of your use year.
