My upcoming trip to CSR will be my first with my laptop. Are the dataports in the guest rooms analog phone lines which accept a standard modem phone line or are they ethernet jacks?
We just returned from Yacht Club, and the data ports are the standard analog plug-ins on the sides of the in-room telephones. Each call -- local access number or toll-free numbers -- is 75 cents.
They're regular phone lines in all the hotels. It's slow, but it's okay for email and other simple stuff. Because of the $.75 charge for all outgoing calls, it's best to do as much as you can each session to limit the number of calls.
