If there is ticket media attached to the magic band, it doesn't have to be just same day fastpasses. They can be prescheduled.

But they DO say that MBs associated with ticket media are non-transferrable and for use ONLY by the same person on all days. It's right there on the back of the MB...

Exactly. For example, you can have say 3 APs, one on site stay, 2 throwaway campsites and have 9 FP+ Per day scheduled 60 days out.

You could have prescheduled FP's for the 3 AP's, but the on site stay and the 2 throwaway campsites could only be prescheduled if they had additional tickets attached to them. Otherwise, the bands from the hotel stay and campsites would just be good for same day FP's.

Take the OP's example with the 2 grandparents. OP has regular stay, GP1 (with AP) has Campsite 1, GP2 (with AP) has campsite 2.
OP could also have local friends they add onto a stay and let them borrow their DME/MBs.The person can even have three different sets of tickets themselves. APs would be hard because they check ID, but you can buy a campsite with tickets online for each 'throwaway' campsite and I am pretty sure still have valid, unused tickets while having access to the prebooked FP+.
