Can anyone tell me if I can use Disney gift cards to pay for a trip I book through AAA? I like some of the conveniences/discounts you get when booking through AAA, but would like to use Disney gift cards to pay AAA for the trip. Is this allowed?

I seriously doubt it. That would be like trying to use a Target gift card at WalMart.

Disney gift cards are akin to a store-branded gift card...its only 'spendable' with Disney.

This is exactly how we paid off our last 2 trips! Got Disney giftcards at Kroger for the fuel points and have then to our AAA agent to pay off our trip! I don't know if it is something that some do and some don't though, wouldn't hurt to call your agent and ask :)

This is not correct. When you book through a AAA agent, you still pay Disney, the AAA agent just handles turning in the payment. You are not paying AAA.

As far as the OPs question goes, I've bought tickets using the Disney Visa Rewards card through AAA, so I suspect you can also use the giftcards. They may not be thrilled about having to process a bunch of different cards though and so you may get pushback. Also, your agent may not be familiar with using giftcards and/or rewards card and may think it's not possible - my agent had to call Disney to learn she could do it.

We just paid off our Disney Trip that we booked with AAA using all Gift Cards that we bought at Target (saved the 5% with the Target Debit Card). I just e-mailed all our card numbers to the agent and she did the rest! I think it was a pain for her to call them all in but it saved us about $150 at the end of the day. Also when we just booked our cruise we used Disney Gift Cards as our deposit and booked with AAA.

Yes no problem paying through AAA with Disney Cards. I have done it on my last two trips as well

We are doing it now. My agent laughs because I will bring her a handful of cards at a time.

We are doing this as well - I just asked the agent before we booked if she was okay with us paying in lots and lots of gift cards. She was fine with it and the savings was worth it to us.

I say call AAA and ask them.

The phone call should take less than 30 seconds and you will have the correct answer from the only people that matter.
