USA mobile carriers - any experiences?

Hi guys,

On our last trip, I got a couple of AT&T sim cards as it would best suit our needs while driving through Las Vegas, Utah, ARizona and Southern California.

Now on our 2015 trip, as well as Disneyland, we will be going to WDW in Orlando, a Disney western caribbean cruise and Aulani in Hawaii. Does anyone have any experiences with USA mobile carriers in those locations and have any feedback or recommendations (obviously barring the cruise)? I was happy enough with ATT last time but if any other carriers have better reception etc across more of our destinations then I'll look into them.

I've used AT&T in Florida without any issues.

Have you checked out the coverage maps and compared them to say...Verizon?

Yep. They're much of a muchness. Personally recommendations and experiences are more important to me Thanks.

Just got back and used AT&T without any major hassles, used them from NY to Florida. Found that getting them direct from the store best option, as the ones i purchased before travelling were annoying to set up.

Yeah I usually like to buy the SIM cards before I travel as I like to have zero things to worry about if possible.. but I will have 3-4 hours transit time in DFW, I need to see if there's an ATT shop there where I can get a couple of SIMs....

Wher do you get them in NY marvel? That is our first stop and I'll need to work out where the nearest AT&T shop is. Assuming there are a few around?!

Hmmm.. no AT&T shops in DFW Might have to shell out and pre-purchase because I'll need a phone as soon as we land at MCO to coordinate with my cousin who lives in Orlando, we'll probably stay with her a night or two.

I don't think any of the telco companies have shops in any of the airports over there. Missed opportunity in my opinion. I know I'd probably grab one if I was walking past, as it is I can't be bothered looking for a shop and just get by with texting usually.

I would definitely grab one at the airport if I could. Very much a missed opportunity.
