USA / Canada Grocery Store Question

Hello All ~ I am looking for a grocery store in Florida that is similar to Canada's NO FRILLS? Anyone? Thanks! Sandra

I don't know of any. Costco or Sams Club are about as close as it comes. Groceries generally are more costly in Florida than in Waterloo ON where I live. By comparison, I now realize how economical our food stores are. Publix and Winn Dixie are the most popular. I found Albertsons to be fairly expensive.

Probably Super Walmart with a fully grocery store would be your best bet. Publix, Albertsons etc will probably be comparable to Loblaws, Sobeys. I don't find groceris at lot more expensive in the US but they're not a lot cheaper either.

Just a note - if you shop at Von's in the U.S., you can use your Safeway Club Card there. If any of the grocery stores you shop at have a Club Card, you can usually ask for a temporary card at customer service.

you can go to the walmart super center..its on 192 or you can go to winndixe..its on 535,apopkavineland road its left at crossroads..then just down on the right ..if you get the club card you get alot of 2 for 1 stuff and its ceaper then goodings..goodings is a rip off but its the clossest and the first food store you come to..

The closest grocery retailer in Florida to No Frills is probably Save A Lot.

I agree with the previous poster, go to Super Centre if you are looking for the best price (which is my assumption as if you're looking for a comparison to No Frills I'm guessing you're not seeking a premium shopping experience).

When I was there in 02, the towncar driver took us for our grocery stop to Kash n Karry. Here is the info from Deb's site. There was also a liquor store very close by as well.
