Anybody else own?

How long are you going to hold and see what happens with some predicting a bidding war involving more than Cleveland Cliffs?

With my entry point from years ago,I would take 40 and head for the hills!lol

US Steel has agreed to be acquired by NIPPON STEEL,a JAPANESE Company!!!!

NEVER thought I would see such a thing!

Word is the Union is going to fight it.

The Stock is up TEN DOLLARS overnight to FIFTY DOLLARS a Share!

It may continue to soar, but no time to be greedy!

I am taking the FIFTY DOLLARS and....

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!

What is the price per share in the purchase agreement? That would be my selling point.

Glad I went ahead and got out at 50-it is currently at 48.60.

Senator John Fetterman says he is going to use everything at his disposal to block the sale for National Security reasons.

And the Union is against it,so it may soar eventually, but it looks like,at least in the short term,it may be trending back down.

How many shares did you have?

I hope it doesn't go through, the good people of PA have been slammed enough over steel.

At what point does the US start protecting certain things...

I mean steel, what does that make?
What could possibly go wrong?

(Also I am just going off google for generic examples so no idea what is ours or not)Screenshot 2023-12-20 at 5.06.21 PM.png

I owned a lot of Hawaiian Air, it was under $5 and they buyout was $19, but it only went to $14. These things take a long time to happen so I would not expect it to go to the buyout price for a long time. Spirit Air has been waiting over a year for federal approval, their current price is like 1/2 the buyout price.

Definitely think you are right.

It is down to 47.92.

Lots of negativity around the deal-the White House has now weighed in:

In a statement, Joe Biden's national economic adviser, Lael Brainard, said the US president believed that "the purchase of this iconic American-owned company by a foreign entity—even one from a close ally—appears to deserve serious scrutiny".

Wow, is Lael Brainard related to Ned? 🤣

I can't believe that's a real name!
