Hi All. My family is visiting Orlando from June 17th to 26th. Instead of just doing Disney, we plan on trying Universal this time as well. We are not roller coaster people (DH and DS may try one or two while the rest of us bravely watch:lmao:), but the kids are Harry Potter fans and definitely want to go to WWoHP. The plan was to hit both parks in one day, but I am wondering if it will be difficult to do at that time of year. If we had to, we could give up a water park day at Disney for a second day at US/IoA, but I did not want to do that if we could help it. Thoughts/advice??:)

You can do the highlights of both parks. The problem is that you will never get a good feeling for either park when you are rushing around.

I would classify only four of the attractions as major coasters--Hulk, Dragon Challenge, Rip Ride Rockit, and Mummy. (Mummy barely.) That still leaves a lot of attractions still in play.

I don't recommend doing both in one day, especially if it's your first time or during a busy season. That said, one day is doable if you want to focus on highlights, but it will not be enough to do it all, even if you excise the coasters from consideration.

Perhaps you would consider just doing IoA for a day (since WWoHP is a must-do for you), and saving the Studios for another visit?

It would be a simple choice for me. Skip the water park and spend two days at Universal. And if you can do it without penalty, cancel a night at your hotel and stay onsite at Universal that night. You'd easily be able to do both parks. And if you want to get wet, there's 3 rides at IOA that can get you quite wet!

And there is a whole lot to do besides the 4 coasters.

Agreed!

Thank you very much for the input. From what all of you say, it will be REALLY rushed and we will not get to enjoy either park fully if I try to squeeze it into one day. This will be our first time visiting US and I know that June is busy, so I will ditch the DW waterpark and do 2 days at Us/IoA. Thanks for your help.:)
