Ok that is true she has different opinions. Yeah I skip BTTF everytime. I just hate it. Choppy screen for universal and has nothing to do with the movies. It just makes more sense to get bttf over with since you have to pass it anyways. Then you can just stay at mib and ride, not go back and forth. I just think she doesn't go there as much as us and probably doesn't want to spend the day on MIB like we do. I am trying to give her a simple yet effective way to get the time out of your day. No hard feelings. I honestly feel my way would work better, that is why I questioned yours. I am just like that. Sorry. :)

So truth comes up! "Get it over with" lol yeah, that's sometimes my feelings too. It used to be my favorite ride at Universal for the longest time, but I just got hooked with MIB. BTTF is a decent simulator, if you like that. I do, and so I think it's pretty good...keeping in mind its a pretty old ride.

I agree that hitting BTTF first and then MIB would be better if you aren't one to want to go back and forth, but also remember...how close are they to each other??? lol. We'll just have to wait until her trip report and see how things work out for her. :)

Wow, what a debate we had!! Look at our lengthy respones! lol.

Yeah lol long debate. The funniest part of the entire thing is that lady who started the conversation isn't even in the debate. She just stepped back and we are arguing back and forth. She isn't even in this lol. I hope she writes back.

Go on shrek and after the ride get an express pass. I know what will happen, you are going to want to go on it again, I see it all the time. Since the guide I gave you gives you plenty of time to spare, you should have no problem seeing it again.

This would be HOURS later. In case you don't realize it, the Shrek Express Passes go very quickly, and many times are the first to go.

Then don't believe that mumbo jumbo about going on MIB first. I have been on MIB 132 times. Why do I count, I don't know but I do. People say I lie but I don't. I ride it the whole day each time I come because I love it and I don't care what anyone says. GO ON BTTF first. The ride is like 8 minutes or more so when they can only fit like 24 people each time, you are going to be waiting for it another 8 minutes. It adds up. What a waste when you can go right on it in the morning NO WAIT.
And later, when those two rides have lines, you can walk past them going-HEY, BEEN THERE-DONE THAT. Go to MIB first.

Personally I got upset with the ride with how choppy the screen is and that it has nothing to do with the movies, so if you feel the same then you will be happy you got right on.
First of all, BTTF's running time is 4 minutes. It was opened in 1991, and the technology has changed little inside the building.

I see the lines for it and it doesn't suprise me that they are long. BTTF isn't one of those continuous rides that they keep loading and unloading.
Actually, it is. Every four minutes it unloads and has to be reloaded.

MIB runs so smoothily all the way to 12:00. HINT: go single riders in the morning. Follow this line and you will end up merging into the express line. There will be two black ropes and then you will see the other line, the regular. Just go through the two ropes and then you can skip the preshow. No one minds if you do this because it is very early. If you want to see the preshow then go in the regular line. Either way I promise you will get on no problem.
Actually, this depends on the time of day. In the early hours of the SINGLE Rider line, you do skip the preshow, but-they do mind if you abuse it.

Dog, I know you're trying to help Julie, but putting down other peoples plans is not very nice.

Julie-Much luck to you.

Ok first all can we both be honest here, they haven't exactly hired the best in show here. It takes them a while to get enough sense in there brains to open up the next floor.

Actually, it's a capacity vs. wait time issue. They have to have the crowd to open the second floor. So what you think may be a "IN their brains" issue is more complicated than you know.

Ok first of all I am not putting other people's plans down, I am simply trying to tell julie that mine is better. People have already posted saying mine isn't the best and that is because people have different opinions. Since I have been going to Universal for years now, this plan hasn't failed me once and I go very often. I understand BTTF is old I am just voicing my opinion of the ride, I am allowed to. MIB doesn't mind if you "abuse" (as you like to put it) the single rider line and ask to go 2 or 3 in the morning. Just don't make it a habit. If there is absolutely no line for MIB, do you think they would care. Just tell them you wanted to skip the preshow. I also said that she could still go regular and see the preshow. I don't see why everyone is ganging up on me. I am giving here a perfectly fine schedule she could follow. If she wants to do the running back and forth idea, then fine. I still say BTTF crowds up to fast. It is still a 4 minute ride whether you like it or not so then you will have to wait till it's over. MIB is continuous, they just are dumb because when the line backs up, then they take the 5 minutes to bring out more cars. Yes shrek tickets for express go fast, but you can still get them when you get off the ride. Just wait in the little line for it.

Yes capacity to line issue, but first you are forgeting the employee's have to arrive there. Plus they have to set it all up. They should have all three floors open to begin with. Look either way the ride crowds up. I don't know what is the big deal and why everyone has to attack me. Just go on BTTF and get the dang thing over with. MIB is always free till 12:00. You people are acting like the mummy is open. Until the mummy opens up, you can't say BTTF will not be packed, it always is. Shrek takes a good chunk out of the crowd, but BTTF is still busy. MIB can get riders moving through a lot faster than BTTF can ever do. It was just designed that way. It makes sense just think about it before you go postal on me here.

And THATS not putting people's plans down? "Oh mine is better than yours" blah blah blah.

Also, you say you've been to Universal for years so you "know." OK, first of all I have visited Universal for many years (some aren't even listed in my signature). And secondly and mostimportantly, I have visited Universal very often RECENTLY. It doesn't matter if you've been for years...it's what things are like NOW that count. I have YET to see BTTF back up to have a wait longer than 25 minutes. Seriously. Take a picture if you see the wait time posted any longer for me.

And what does The Mummy ride have anything to do with this?! You forget that if you think "newer" rides get more business, well...MIB is newer than BTTF. And yes, liens are longer for MIB. But I still don't understand you mentioning The Mummy. It has nothing to do with this at all. Sure people are over at the 2 newest rides towards the front while we go to the rides in the back...but so what? Just how it works out.

I have a lot more to say but no more time right now. I'll post more later if you want to continue this. :)

And no, we aren't "ganging" up on you. Please chill out!!! It's all a matter of opinion. Do what works for you, OK? And we'll do what works for us. Since my plans has ALWAYS worked VERY well for me, I use it all the time...if I decide to go on BTTF. And I'll use it this weekend when I take my cousin who has never been before.

About BTTF. I was just there yesterday as a matter of fact and it said right there on the screen, wait time: 40 minutes right there as clear as can be. I believe it, and that was at 1:00. I didn't check later because I didn't expect to have a kongfrontation about this ride. Geese I don't even ride it as much anymore and I am discussing it more than what I really want to discuss, MIB. I am sure there is more than one way to skin a cat, a.k.a. more than one way to go through the park. Mine is a one way ticket around the park not having to back track nearly as much so that is how I work it out. :)

Dog-

You might want to clear up your wording. It's hard to tell if you are "putting down" other people's ideas or not.

As for the original title of this thread-The VIP tour is a great way to see the park-You don't have to worry about the lines, the guides take care of that for you. They also give you a tremendous amount of information about the park. They also leave the legends intact, so no worry about "spoiling" the park-the people spoiled are the guests taking the tour.

Since it seems like you haven't taken the tour, why do you put it down so?

Firefly-what you said and more!

obviously you haven't been paying attention to this thread. Yes the title is different I know, but Julie asked the question that got us all into this pickle. All I did was tell her my guide, then the rest of you butted in and wanted to discuss my guide. So technically you all started the fued, I was just simply giving her my guide to a perfect day.

Grrrr. There are SO many things that are wrong with this!!!

First of all, you make it seem like I was trying to ruin her plans or make you look bad or something. That was NOT the case. I just thought I would give her my opinion AS WELL so she had multiple points of view to go by. Sheesh!!!

I'm not even gonna get started with the second half of your statement!

((edited))
Actually...I will. You claim "we" started this feud? No I did not! You stated your opinion and if you go back to my post you will see I said:

I mostly agree with what dogg said, but a couple things I disagree about at Universal Studios.

So was I trying to "start a feud" by this statement? Absolutely not. I was giving her my opinion and explained why I disagreed with you. And then I DROPPED IT. It wasn't until you called my opinion "mumbo jumbo" that I had to jump on you with defense. Calling my opinion "mumbo jumbo" was indeed putting it down and you started it right there. You should have realized from the beginning that I was only adding a bit of input from another teenager's POV to help her plan! I wasn't trying to "attack" you as you called it.

And I don't like starting online quarrels. Rarely are they any fun ( :p ). So just so you know, I am not one to try to stir up any trouble...and even in this case, it was NOT my intention at all. Sorry you got that impression.

So would it be fair to say that once you post to a thread Dogg, that is the final word on any given topic? Your "guide" your "plan" and your opinion is all that matters. This is a message board. We all help and offer advice. Take a good long look through some posts and try and drop the "me" attitude.

Looks like you blame Julie for asking the question and then add insult to injury by telling everyone that has an opinion that they butted in!

Ok first of all I am not putting other people's plans down, I am simply trying to tell julie that mine is better.

This statement speaks volumes. Believe it or not there can and usually are more than one plan to acheive the same result.

Flyfly_Eclipse has offered some great advice many times and I respect her opinion.

No you got this all wrong. I understand this is a message board. I don't have a single problem with anyone else that has another opinion, but people have been going against me like I am a one man army. I am glad she brought up the question because she doesn't know which way to go on this, but it's like, no dogg did this wrong, nope there is dogg again saying to this. Why would dogg tell you to this, do this instead. That is the only reason this arguement keeps going back and forth. All I am doing is creating a case for your prosecution on my guide. I am only defending my guide. It is a discussion board, what do you expect. It just goes further than it has to when people start to slam my idea. Maybe I am looking at your messages the wrong way, but maybe choosing the right words could help. I don't know why I am battling, I don't even want to. How did this even start.

dogg - read my above post. I was NOT telling her to NOT do your idea...I was giving her another opinion to base her plans on. Please, I was not trying to say you were wrong. Have you not read in my posts I said that you have your way that works for you and I have my way. I even said that maybe YOUR idea would work for her. Did you even bother reading my posts?!

I feel like I'm talking to a blank wall or something because you are not reading my posts correctly. You are 100% misinterpreting all of them!!!

I gave her my opinion. You gave her yours. Let it go and have her decide what to do. It's over now. I never said to "Not do what you said" or "Why would you say this, do this instead" Come on! I'm not trying to boss people around and tell them what to do. I gave an Opinion. You see how many times I've used this word? IT'S TRUE.

I want this debate OVER WITH. ESPECIALLY since both of our ------- plans are identical EXCEPT for when you go on BTTF and MIB. THAT'S IT! This was all a complete waste of time, but it wouldn't have if you just let me post my opinion without calling it "mumbo jumbo." I found that very rude/ :(

u know i think you are right. Sorry for the misconception. I overreacted with the whole mumbo jumbo. I think when others started butting in also accusing me, I started to take it out on you and everyone else. Hey I just had a blow up on another thread with people slamming me for no reason. I went to this thread after that one so I guess I became a little hostile after that first thread. Sorry about that. Both of our idea's are correct end of story. I hope we can still talk on here.

Wow! Ya ask a simple question! Just kidding, didn't mean to get anything started. Both of your plans will probably work for us. I'll try to remember to post back exactly what we did and the wait times, if I can remember. We're not going until April 2004. We're wanting to ride everything (pretty much) in one day, so probably won't be going back to do anything more than once. Dueling Dragons, what is it? Is this a ride or a show?
Thanks,
Julie :D

I honestly feel the VIP tour is for suckers unless there is no other way you can get here in a 2 day trip.

DD21 and I did the Universal VIP tour and the Islands VIP tour during July 4th weekend. The tours were awesome!! We really felt that we got our money's worth. I definitely do not feel like a "sucker". If you only have one day to visit the parks, or if you are going at a very busy time of the year, the VIP tours are great.

Then if you want you can do Jimmy Neutron. I personally think it is dumb, lame, etc. I am 17 so you can relate. It isn't because I am "older" the ride just has no plot and you get bumped around a lot for no reason.

Don't skip Jimmy Neutron, it's a great attraction!! DD21 and I thought Jimmy Neutron was fantastic!! I know that DD17 and DD15 will also love it when we go back to Orlando in 19 more days!!!

Yeah I skip BTTF everytime. I just hate it. Choppy screen for universal and has nothing to do with the movies. It just makes more sense to get bttf over with since you have to pass it anyways.

My whole family enjoys BTTF. DD21, DD 17, DD15 and even DH!!!!

Julie-

Dragons is a spectacular, steel, two sided roller coaster. Three near misses-Inverted (your feet dangle)-Ice Dragon is the milder of the two, Fire is a tad more intense.

Hope that answers your question.

No problem dogg. :) I can understand how things "get started" on boards because you can't read emotions or anything. You can't tell when people are being sarcastic, or bashing you or just trying to give an opinion (;)). That might be why I've had a few problems online without meaning too.

And I wouldn't mind still talking on here. It's nice to talk about Universal trips with another teenager :)

Thank you. Yeah what you wrote it is like you are reading my head. I can't see you, you can't see me. Who knows what expression is each word. I am in a absolutely pointless fued that got started on another thread that people are taking me the wrong way like I am blasting them and their words. So not the case. Things get blown up and then at the aftermath, you don't even remember the question lol.
